How many arcane ritual faeries might there be in the end? Have you thought the series through that far?

When I do a series I don't usually plan all of them out ahead of time, and keep them pretty well open-ended (in case a few months later I get the urge to paint another one!). I'm thinking probably around ten, but I might do more or less, and I'm not sure of the time frame, lol =) So in other words, I'm not sure at all =P

I would like to always have at least one darker, more gothic themed series going on at any given time. That way I can work around different moods I have, which is important. Right now I'm painting the next of my "Fairy Tales" series, in particular it is "Hansel and Gretel" =)

Oh, she's so adorable! It's amazing how you can make such a gothic faerie look so damned cute. :) The hour glass looks like the one from "The Wizard of Oz" movie. Have you thought about drawing anything from that story?

Oooooh I'd be bidding on those - The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite movie! =)

I used to be terrified of that movie when I was little!!! I've had a lot of requests recently to paint some Oz art - I might look into that. First I've gotta make sure that the story is in the public domain. I've got the books, which are quite different from the movie. I'd most likely base any paintings I'd do on the books rather than the movie, since I tend to be like that =)

Thank you!!!!

It definitely is a compliment. I feel happy that people want these things that just recently only existed in my head - it's like the ultimate validation in a way.....

That is really beautiful. Good job on the sand! ..And the colors blend perfectly together.

What part of the story are you painting from Hansel and Gretel? That sounds like fun to pain! Although I have to admit I'd really like to see more of these Arcane Ritual pieces. They are so alive!

Thank you!!

I'm painting the scene where they first discover the gingerbread/candy house - I'm having fun adding all of the sugary architectural details =)
