http://www.strangeling.comI've updated my website - |
I added 22 new prints and generally spruced the whole site up a little =)
Now I'm going to eat a little food! Tonight I will get some painting in =) My USB cable didn't come in the mail yet, so I can't yet position my webcam to show my canvas =( Hopefully tomorrow!
That looks awesome!!!!! Every time I see other websites it makes me want to change mine! What program are you using? It's easy to navigate, loads super fast, LOVE IT!!!
Thanks so much!!!
I use Homestead (http://www.homestead.com
)for my web hosting, and they have a nifty drag&drop "what you see is what you get" software program to create sites using templates or from scratch. I write a lot of the html myself in Window's little notepad, hehe. To make the pics pop up fast, I save them at the lowest compression I can in photoshop (usually a "7" on their 1-12 scale) at a low resolution and I am always sure to indicate the size and position coordinates in the html. I think the web software actually will do that automatically, but I get stuck in my ways and I kinda like writing code =)
Saving the pics at a low res/quality also helps deter image thieves online - if anybody tried to print them out for reprints or merchandise or whatever it would look pretty crappy, hehe.
Thank you so much!!!
I'll be shipping your print out either tomorrow morning or first thing on Monday =) =)
The "sprucing up" looks great! Oh no! More prints! ;)
Random thought. Probably dumb suggestion and it is only a suggestion. It is wedding season in a way maybe something people could give as a wedding gift. I don't know what exactly. Or a three set type deal or series.I know it's dumb, but I guess I'll send this anyway.
I've been thinking about offering some of them together - like the Poison Fairies or the Alice paintings as a set!
I might wait until Matt gets a frame shop together first, that way I could have a nice "finished product" with matting and everything that would make for nice gift sets. After we get a house Matt (who used to run a frame shop) is going to set up a room for matting and framing my work - I think that will be really cool!
