Lady of the Faeries [Apr. 26th, 2003|10:03 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
I finished a brand new painting I just started on a whim today (no sketches or plan in head) - a larger piece, 12"x16" - called "Lady of the Faeries". It features a beautiful woman (human - I haven't painted a human for awhile... she looks kinda like Lillian Gish) lying against a tree, with three little faerie girls surrounding her. It looks kinda like they are her children, but since she's human and they are fae, they are probably just her little companions. I'm sorry I haven't scanned her in yet, but I'll do that tomorrow, for when I get her up on eBay. I really like how she turned out - a little different than some of my usual work, but it was very fun to paint.

It looks like for tomorrow (unless more voters pop out of the woodwork) I will be working on Sleeping Beauty! For all the other people who voted - don't worry - I will get to all of the Fairy Tales eventually =)

I know I have mountains of email to look through - I'll get to that tomorrow too, hehe.

Matt and I just got back from a wonderful walk! We went to the old fashioned Herman's Ice Cream parlor across the street and bought some ice cream cones (Matt got a double dip of peanut butter fudge, and I got a double dip - one scoop coconut and one scoop chocolate chip) and walked around the lake. After that we walked around the residential areas here in Celebration for an hour or two - scoping out the houses =)

I'm going to sit back and relax for awhile now! I'll be painting all day tomorrow!

Hehe, I suppose in some ways we do. It's kind of funny - we're doing all sorts of fun things, but we still have no bed, no dressers, no tables, no couch, no entertainment center - nothing! The only furniture in our entire apartment is two computer desks with their chairs. That's it. Everything else is on the floor or in a box still!

Re:

It takes time to get completely moved into a place. I've moved enough times to know that achingly well unfortunately. I've never moved out of the state of Virginia yet though. And I hate this state! It's a commonwealth.

Your where you want to be, and that is what is truly important. =) Plus you get to do a lot of really cool stuff in the meantime! For now you are... camping, in a luxury apartment with all the bonuses! That has got to be a blast!
