Plan for the day [Apr. 19th, 2003|10:29 am]

The Plan for Today -

Paint! I'm going to finish up Red Riding Hood in the Forest, and work on my other 14"x18" piece (featuring several different faeries with butterfly wings in all colours - probably entitled "Butterfly Faeries" or something to that effect). Depending on time constraints I may also work on my latest Poison Fairy piece, or maybe work on Rumpelstiltskin. Too many paintings going on at once! I've also started plans for my long awaited Zodiac series (I still haven't decided whether I should do them as 8"x10"s or something larger). I expect the Zodiac prints would do well (I've had sooo many requests for them) - I could make them into Birthday cards or something like that - it would be fun! Oh yes, and due to popular request my next Alice piece will feature the Cheshire Cat (but at the rate I'm going it might be a few weeks before I get started on that one!!!).

Sometime soon I would like to go to the local art store (there really isn't a Michael's or a Hobby Lobby close by, but there is a JoAnn's on 192 which is probably good enough). I stocked up on supplies before we moved, but now I'm starting to get interested in painting larger pieces, hehe. I think the largest piece I've sold on eBay was a 16"x20", but I've done tons of much larger pieces on a commissioned basis. I might buy a big roll of wide canvas sheet and start doing some bigger pieces (I don't very much like sending BIG streteched canvases through the mail - I'm always afraid that they will get damaged, but so far no casualties). We'll see...

Anyways - off to paint!

Ya! The Cheshire cat! Wooo Hooo! :) *Smiling from ear to ear!!* I'm gonna send you an e-mail ok. I've got a question.

Their is a wonderful artist on eBay that I've kind of become friends with, Dawn Tarr. Have you ever looked at her work? She sells huge paintings all the time on eBay like 3 feet by 4 feet. She puts the canvas on stretchers to paint it then take it off and mails them rolled with out stretchers to the winning bidder. She's been doing this for a long time and since she continues to do so I guess she must not be having too many problems.

I love the Cheshire Cat! I can't wait to see the finished piece! I may be forced to bid on that one, although I doubt I'll win! :(
