Disney Stuff!

Yes indeed - the GRAND OPENING of Disney's new WonderGround Gallery here in Florida (it's own space now inside the Co-Op store!) is TOMORROW.  They will be holding a "ribbon cutting" ceremony around 1pm.  I myself will be there in person on both Friday & Saturday nights!  Again, March 6 & 7 at Disney's Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney - details about this event here.  I'll be inside the Co-Op at the new WonderGround section from about 5pm-7:30pm on both Friday & Saturday nights.

Also at the Co-Op is Disney's "D-Tech" shop - where you can get everything Disney for your gadgets/phones/etc.  I'm very pleased to announce that this week they will be introducing the first of one of my own Disney paintings - "Alice in the Garden" (also called "Golden Afternoon") right there for you to customize your phone(s).  Some details are at the official Disney blog here.  ("Hipster Mickey" is courtesy of Jerrod Maruyama - he'll be there for the grand opening as well!).

Also while you're at Downtown Disney this weekend, be sure to stop by Pop Gallery - I have lots of new stuff over there too, right over by the AMC theatres!

If your visit to Disney World includes visiting the themeparks themselves - keep an eye out for my artwork - it has been popping up inside the parks as well.  There is a fabulous display of my work at the Tower of Terror "Hotel Gallery" (in the gift shop at the ride at Disney Hollywood Studios), and I've heard rumours about the new Haunted Mansion gift shop - "Memento Mori" and other additional in-park locations as well stocking my artwork.  Stay tuned!

New Tutorial Installment

Follow me at Wattpad to get each installment free here

(and be sure to follow Matthew David Becket here to keep up with his projects, we'll be doing some collaborations)

I'm working on a new step-by-step Painting Tutorial here at Wattpad -  - (My user ID at Wattpad is JasmineBecket, follow me here) this is a completely FREE tutorial, it will show all the step-by-step photos & very detailed descriptions, starting at the very beginning (cutting up a piece of wood) until the very end (varnishing).

I have added a few new installments, so definitely check it out - already finished with the sketching and am now heading into colour! You will need to make an account at Wattpad to read it, but it just takes a second, and then if you click the "Follow" on my author page and "Add" the book here, you'll receive each update as I publish each new installment. This is ONLY up at Wattpad (I'm certainly not going to put hundreds of photos & pages up at Facebook for those who are not interested, lol), so definitely check it out if you are interested in my painting method, art in general, if you are a fan/collector, etc.

Specifically this tutorial will be focusing on the new painting I'm working on in my Butterfly Fairies collection - "European Peacock" butterfly fairy!
