Oh my... [Mar. 23rd, 2003|11:08 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
My neighbors are out smoking pot again. At 11:00 am on a Sunday morning, hmm. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody calls the cops on them. I never would (I'm a big proponent of marijuana-legalization) - I just think that (given the current legislation) it is kind of strange that they do it constantly and out in the open (which most people only do maybe at a Pink Floyd concert, lol).

My kitties are both by the open door too, with their eyes closed and their nostrils wiggling. If they start any sort of pseudo-philosophical discussion or giggling inanely I'll let you know.

You must live in a pretty laid back part of the country. I live in the lovely commonwealth Virginia ( =P ). No way in the world would people get away with smoking pot on their balconies in broad daylight. I'm betting the cops WILL be called on them, which unfortunately is their own fault... I agree with you though on the legalization of marijuana. If alcohol and cigarettes are legal, it only makes sense for pot to be legal. The problem that the government has with it is that it is too easy to grow, therefore they wouldn't really be able to tax iin anyway or make a huge profit from selling it. In other parts of the world it is legal and in effect the people who live in those countries are more open minded to enhancing and exploring the mind in alternative fashions, unlike certain parts (mainly North Eastern) of the U.S.A...=(

I'm thinking it's just a matter of time- Kansas City isn't the sort of place that let's you do that sort of thing at all, lol. Not to mention the guy who lives above them is a cop, and the police are always at these apartments for one reason or another anyways!
