Jasmine's CUSTOM Painting Auction, Tiger Lily, Tiger Nautilus ORIGINAL PAINTING

Wow! Thank you to all who came out to my art show this weekend here in Celebration! We had a great show, the weather cooperated for the most part, and had a great time. Apologies again to those who came a bit later on - we did end up selling all the paintings very early in the show before most folks got there - but at least we had prints =) Next time, I will just have to paint more!!

Good news for today firstly - A New Original Faces of Faery CUSTOM Painting Auction is now up for auction on eBay! Yes, this means that YOU get to tell ME how to finish your very own painting. Details below. Secondly - "Tiger Lily, Tiger Nautilus" is a brand new original painting of mine that I debuted at the art show - the original has sold but I have prints & posters available now!

Those of you interested in coming to my next art show - it will be the Spectrum Fantastic Art LIVE show in Kansas City, MO on May 18th-20th - it will be my very first Midwest show (as an adult at least - I'm from KC originally and did some shows there when I was a kid!), so this will finally be a chance to meet some of my midwest fans & collectors. It will be a phenomenal art show with 200 of the world's best fantasy & scifi artists - I will be bringing lots of paintings & prints with me! Details about the Spectrum Fantastic Art Live event are HERE

First off is the new original custom painting - a CUSTOM Faces of Faery - this is the 190th in the series. The winning bidder will receive the painting in the photos, but first they will get to tell me the following: **Haircolour/Style (I can make it shorter, curly, add bangs, whatever you'd like) **Eye Colour, Makeup **Skintone, Freckles, Tattoos **Wings if you'd like me to fit some in (note the size & placement of the face on the panel, it'd be a hint of them or very small ones). Maybe you'd like me to customize it to resemble a friend or family member - perhaps include their favourite flowers, or a small pet).

**I could potentially add a bit of ornamentation like paint in a butterfly or flowers in her hair, earrings, leaves, something along those lines. Faces of Faery all feature beautiful faery-inspired creatures, and she is no exception. This big eyed beauty is to be painted just for you! After the auction ends, I will email you and YOU will tell ME how to finish her! It is on GALLERY STYLE CRADLED MASONITE - 6"x6" in size (like all Faces of Faery) - Matt has added a hanger on the back, so it is READY TO HANG! No frame needed! She's up on eBay starting at ONE PENNY for a 10-day auction ending the evening of Sunday, April 29th 6:00PM Central Time and you can see her below:

Those of you who know me, know that I am obsessed with nautilus shells! I collect them as well as fossil ammonites. I have several "tiger nautilus" shells and wanted to do a portrait with one - accenting it with the Tiger Lily flower (since I like the sound of both having the word "tiger" in them). A beautiful, slightly sad looking girl. This piece debuted and SOLD at the Celebration Spring Art Festival in 2012. Even though the original has sold, prints & posters are already up for sale on Zazzle in all sizes & price ranges here:

I will be posting the other new paintings from last week's Celebration Art Festival shortly as soon as I have the prints & posters, etc. available & online, so stay tuned! As these next few weeks will be spent creating new originals to debut at the Spectrum art show, you can bet I will be sneak-previewing some Work-in-Progress photos while I paint up at Facebook! Follow along with me while I work and show my painting techniques anad give early peeks of the new paintings before they are made public - click below to check out my Facebook page:
