Now - to show off what debuted at the Art Show! Today I have THREE new original paintings to show you! And two of them are up for PENNY AUCTIONS on eBay, already framed in glorious ornate frames- "Owlyn in the Nest" 17"x15" in size and also a framed miniature called "Eyes of Violet Sunset" - both framed & ready to hang - very nice - and up on eBay now with auctions starting at a penny!

And the third painting - one of my BEST ever - "Sun Child and Moon Child" - a gorgeous and colourful painting - the original itself SOLD at Dragon*Con, but I have prints & posters already up for sale, from only $12.55 each. Check them all out - so gorgeous! Keep an eye out too - I'll be posting other new paintings & prints all week!

New Original Paintings - "Sun Child and Moon Child" "Owlyn in the Nest"

First we have - one of my favourites - "Sun Child and Moon Child!" I love the colours in this one. Loosely inspired by the song "Moonchild" by King Crimson - these sisters stand together, but separately - representing the sun (on your left) and the moon (on your right). The sky & sea are both shown here reflecting the day/night dichotomy. Sun Child is cradling a chalice holding the light of the sun, and Moon Child carries a vessel containing the crescent moon. A rooster represents day/morning, and the moon-bunny is for the night. This is a piece I debuted & SOLD at Dragon*Con 2011 - originally it was in a really neat diptych (two-paneled) altarpiece frame that my husband Matt made for me. Even though the original has sold though, I have prints & posters up now featuring these beauties!! Only $12.55 for the 11x17 prints, you can choose all different sizes up to 60" tall, different papers, framing options, etc. all available below - just use the options in your upper right hand corner there to choose your size.

Next up - this original painting IS available and is up on eBay in a gorgeous picture frame, auction starting at only a penny! Little Owlyn is one of my owl fairy characters - here she is in a nest of Owl hatchlings! Cute fluffy great horned owls with their protector Owlyn - as the clear light streams in. Love her! This piece debuted at Dragon*Con 2011. You may recognize my owl fairies from my "Call of the Night" line of figurines with the Hamilton Collection. And my new Owlyn costumes from California Costumes in Halloween stores this fall. And if not - check them out! This is my own original acrylic painting. She is already framed - her frame measures 17.5" wide by 15.5" high and 2" deep. (the panel itself is 10"x8"). She is ready to display!

To see the original Owlyn in the Nest painting auction with detail photos - it runs for a 10 day auction ending the evening of Friday, September 16th at 5:10 PM Central Time - click below:

If the original painting is not in your budget, no worries - the prints & posters are already up for sale on Zazzle! All sizes from 11x14 for only $12.55 up to 40" in size and you can even add on custom framing, matting, etc. or just have her as a poster! You can see her below:

And the next painting is actually a miniature original acrylic painting I did as a facial study and have framed in a gorgeous 8"x7" frame - ready to hang on your wall! This actually the ORIGINAL painting itself, not a print, not an aceo card, but the actual original painting on masonite. "Eyes of Violet Sunset" is a lovely framed ORIGINAL miniature painting! A facial study in acrylics of a big eyed fairy maiden - beautiful, delicate colours. She is already framed - her frame measures 8" wide by 7" high. (the panel itself is 3.5"x2.75"). She can be hung on the wall by the sawtooth hanger on the back OR sat on a table/desk/mantlepiece with the easelback stand, either way, she is ready to display! Bidding starts at just one penny ending on Monday, September 12th at 6:00 PM Central Time
