Two new "Faces of Faery" Originals, "Marie Masquerade" Framed Panel &"Alice in Clockwork" Porthole [Aug. 23rd, 2009|05:15 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Hi everyone!

I have TWO NEW ORIGINAL paintings for you and both start at just ONE PENNY on eBay! They are two of the originals from my "Faces of Faery" series - both are lovely! One is Halloween-y, and one has a frog! In addition I have a brand new Framed Wood/MDF Panel of "Marie Masquerade" (in a lovely ornate resin frame - ready to hang), and a new Steampunk Porthole - "Alice in Clockwork" - Marie and Alice are both up for a penny too. Fun stuff - every thing ready to hang on your wall.

The new original paintings - the 27th and the 28th paintings in my "Faces of Faery" series - a series of paintings I've been working on featuring beautiful faces from all corners of the world of Faery. Each is READY TO HANG - you don't need a frame - 6"x6" in size and on 2" gallery style cradled masonite, original acrylic paintings (not prints of any kind). The great thing about my "Faces of Faery" series of paintings is that they are all the same size and are intended to hang beautifully in a group as well as on their own - for example they make fabulous groupings of several paintings together (I hung up nine of them on my wall in a square shape and it looked fantastic!). To see the new originals (and all other currently available original paintings) simply click below - they're near the bottom of the page here:

Or individually - here is "Faces of Faery 27" - she is the 27th in the series. This one has a Halloween flair - a CUTE little witch with large liquid eyes and her own Jack O'Lantern pumpkin friend! Her orange eyes are so beautiful! And yes, to give everybody a chance, she is starting at just ONE PENNY! She's up for a 10-day auction ending Tuesday September 1st at 6:40 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

And here is "Faces of Faery 28" - she is the 28th in the series. This one has a fairytale flavour to it - special thanks to Kelly who showed me this froggy! I love toads and frogs of all kinds - they are always a joy for me to paint. And yes again, to give everybody a chance, she is starting at just ONE PENNY! She's up for a 7-day auction ending the AFTERNOON of Sunday, August 30th at 3:54 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

Next - the GORGEOUS wood reproduction of "Marie Masquerade" - in a lovely ornate antique-style resin frame. You have to see this one! I very rarely offer framed pieces for auction (at a penny, especially!) but I'm trying to rectify that since so many people have been asking me about doing so. You will see more from me soon, I promise! I've been working with Matt in his workshop, and we've developed another fantastic new product. READY TO HANG! If the original painting was out of your budget, this is a great alternative, down to the ornate resin frame. She is a reproduction of my original acrylic painting on an 8"x10" high gloss MDF panel. These really are gorgeous. Glossy almost like glass! The perfect way to bring "Marie Masquerade" into your home. The frame is beautiful, very posh looking, ornate resin, antique style that really goes well with the picture. It is a high gloss permanent image (NOT a decal and NOT any sort of decoupage or paper print, it is a heat-set dyed PERMANENT reproduction on the wood/MDF panel itself) set into the 11"x13" frame. She's up for a 7-day auction ending the AFTERNOON of Sunday, August 30th 3:46 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

Next - a new Steampunk Porthole - this time featuring "Alice in Clockwork"! READY TO HANG! This is a reproduction of my original acrylic painting on a 8" round MDF panel. I can't stress how gorgeous this is! Glossy almost like glass! The colours on this are subtle, with that lovely sepia steampunk tone. The perfect way to bring "Alice in Clockwork" into your home. The "porthole" frame is VERY LIGHTWEIGHT - it is NOT METAL (it is a cast resin-foam composite) and there is NO GLASS, so you can hang it easily on any wall without worry or exra braces - there's a wire hanger on the back already. Not at all heavy as it looks, I promise! It is a high gloss permanent image set into the 12" porthole frame. All in all it is 12"x12" and quite thick - 2" - all a one-piece frame (no, it doesn't open, sorry!). It can be the focus of any room or tucked away in a cozy nook - perfect for a fantasy themed room, or a nautical/marine look, Steampunk theming, or also great in a bathroom or boat!! I plan on making more of these - they would look great lined up or in a grouping (like you're on a boat or in a submarine!). She's up for a 7-day auction ending the AFTERNOON of Sunday, August 30th at 3:41 PM Central Time , and you can see her here:
