Danse Macabre - Tribal Fusion Original Painting & ACEO Cards

Hi everyone!

Happy Earth Day!

I have a brand new original painting for you - a Tribal Fusion inspired painting - part of new series! I also have a handful of brand new ACEO Cards for you as well! The original painting AND the ACEOs are all up at eBay for auction starting at just one penny!

First off is the new original painting - "Danse Macabre : Tribal Fusion!" She is the first in my new series called "Danse Macabre". Danse Macabre (literally, Dance of Death) - was a very common theme for many late Medieval allegorical paintings. The allegory being of course that the dance of death is inevitable and unites us all. How macabre! I have decided to create a more literal and visual take on the centuries-old tradition - combining skeletal imagery with some of my favourite dance imagery! I hope to touch on many forms of dance in subsequent pieces. This first painting celebrates Tribal Fusion - a contemporary vein of bellydance that I love. I've shown the beautiful dancing maiden surrounded by skeletons - atmospheric colouring & shadow abound. A lot of detail in this one - I LOVE this painting! . She is a full-sized painting - 16"x20" and 2" thick! She is an ORIGINAL PAINTING - not a print of any kind! It is on WOOD CRADLED MASONITE - Matt has added a hanger on the back, so it is READY TO HANG! No frame needed! Of course you can always add a frame if you want (if it's gallery profile, as this is 2" thick!), but she looks awesome by herself too. I've painted the wooden sides a glossy black, so it looks pretty sharp. She's up on eBay starting at ONE PENNY for a 10-day auction ending the evening of Saturday May 2nd at 7:34 PM Central Time.
