Happy March! [Mar. 1st, 2003|11:58 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Hmmm... nothing much interesting here. I'm going to be painting all day, and since I still haven't found the replacement velcro (so I could move my webcam) you won't be able to see much on my webcam =P

Tomorrow Matt is going to be off work. It is our 6th anniversary! Wow, that means that I am the same age now that Matt was when we first met, hehe. We are planning to go to the Johnson County Home Show at the OP convention center (we really like doing that sort of thing). We'll probably go out for dinner too =)

Hey

Sorry this isn't related to your topic, but I just wanted to express how pleased I am with the piece you painted for me. I'm the guy with the huge 4x3 Dragon and Faerie painting, and it's finally framed and hanging in my living room. And I think it looks awesome! I also really appreciate the excellent work you put into it.

I've even uploaded a few shots of it for the curious people reading your journal. These shots don't show off the painting like the scans you made though.

Re: Hey

Wow! It looks great! Thank you very much for sharing =)

I love seeing how my artwork looks after it's framed and hung =)

Thank you again!

Re: Hey

I see a vampire nymph in the background! I'm still trying to get one of those... anyways the paintings I've got are still waiting to be hung. I'm almost ready to go to college, so if I end up getting an apartment then I'll be sure to decorate it with your art. Keep up the good work; you're doing great at creating your own world through your fantasy artwork, as you put it. I've been thinking about selling my own artwork but I've seen how it can be hard for an unknown artist to get started. If you have any tips on letting people know of my existance, then I'd love to hear them. I'm working on building a popularity on DeviantArt.com (http://www.deviantart.com). You should check out DA, it's a little like epilogue, and you can also sell prints through it, daprints.com.

Here's a webpage I made about my art if you're interested.

Re: Hey

Hi Kevin! Wow - your work is wonderful - almost photorealistic. Hehe - I'm proud to be one of your influences - it always means a lot to me when a fellow artist likes my work =)

I'll check out Deviant Art - I've had a couple of people recommend it to me now!
