We've been having a lot of fun, but it is a lot of work too of course. Each night when we get back to the room, we fall asleep almost right away =P
We've had a GREAT show so far, both in the fun-having sense and in the money-making sense. We've already tied what we made last year, and we still have a day left, so that's a very good thing =)
Yesterday I even sold one of the framed originals I brought specifically for Dragon*Con, which made me REALLY happy! Usually I bring originals to shows more for "show" in the Gallery rather than expecting to sell them, so when they do sell, it is a happy thing. It's one I haven't posted in my journal yet, so I'll post pics when I get home. I luckily had the forethought to take high-res scans before we left, so I should have prints available too.
Interestingly enough, the top two most popular prints of mine this year at Dragon*Con have been "Hunger Pains" and "Wicked Witch and her Flying Monkey". Both of them sold out on the first day, even though we'd brought TONS of them in both sizes, and the canvas had multiple bids. People keep asking about them, so I've been telling a lot of people about my website. It's odd which prints are popular each year - it seems completely random and unpredictable.
We've met so many LiveJournal people, it's crazy! I can hardly remember who all I've met!
I'd better go get ready for today's show! I'll probably check in again later.
PS - Hey Meredith ( uminomamori )- we peeked in on your panels, and your stuff is selling really well!
Off we go....
