"A Tomb in the Swamp" [Jun. 13th, 2007|07:35 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Wow - two updates in one day....

Yay - I finished her!!!

I have a BEAUTIFUL new original painting for you! I also have lots of my most recent paintings available now as SALE prints, and also a re-listed mini painting.

She is called "A Tomb in the Swamp" - I am simply in love with it! I live in Florida and I love the swamps here, which inspired this painting. An angelic fairy creature, very pale with striking fair hair and angel wings, is wading through the cypress swamp in this picture - you can see a mysterious sunken gravestone too, and even an alligator.... you've gotta see this one, very pretty!

Next up, one of my collectors has had to re-sell one of my mini paintings. Now, this is not my auction, but I can happily verify that this is the original painting being re-sold by the original collector, so bid with confidence!:

She IS beautiful Jasmine. I am glad you had a good time in France. I am in envy...
I asked you once about going in to business for ones self and, though you probably don't remember me, I AM going into business and opening a tattoo/comic shop in St. Louis!!! My cousin happens to be a fabulous tattoo artist and that is a medium I have grown fond of over the past couple years.
So, if you have any "flash" that you would like to sell me, I would be happy to display it as an option for my future patrons.
Thanks for the advice and inspiration.

Yours in art, Jenn

Hi Jenn! That is awesome!! I'm so happy you were able to open up shop!! =) =)

Actually yes - I do indeed have licensed tattoo flash sheets now - LiquidSkin sells the sets here:

They did a fabulous job on the outlines, etc. - each has the lines & the coloured versions =)

Thank you Jenn!

idea for art?

Hi Jasmine! I have been looking at your art for a while now and am amazed with your level of talent. I too am in love with this fantasy world of fairies and their friends. I am currently pregnant with my fourht child and was curious if you ever thought of doing a fairy in this manner - with child I mean?! I would be ever so interested in your interpretation of this wonderous event. From a faithful fan - Valerie

Hello Jasmine!

I just wanted to alert you of some copyright infringement. I'm sure you deal with it a lot (I know I do).

The piece in question is here:

Which looks to be a direct copy of your piece:

Best wishes!

Hey there, this is a little off-topic, but I wanted to say that I went to Disneyland Paris last week and I saw some of your fairies on cards and I thought they were just beautiful. I've been looking for an idea for my next tattoo and after seeing all the tattoos on your site I am really eager to get one of your fairies :)

Painting Idea

I just wanted to plant the idea of makeing some paintings with different kinds of turtles/tortoises with your fairies or perhaps different kinds of birds. Well thats all really. I love you work and always look forward to your e-mail updates with new stuff.

Lots of love to you,
