I went to paris around about a year ago and i really think its one of the most amazing inspiring cities anywhere..
Notre dame is really beautiful, but i imagined it to be a lot bigger than it is..
Hope you have a great time there, and i love the painting!
Thank you David! I can't wait!

Omg i Love it i think its my fave! she is absolutely stunning!
the background is amazing :)
Thank you very very much!
I love it Its gorgeous!
its definitely one of my faves!
Yay for Elmore! He's one of my favorite fantasy artists of all time, topped only by Clyde Caldwell.
Not like I need to tell you to enjoy yourself! :)
>^__^< I'm very much looking forward to it!
Larry's the main inspiration I had for pursuing fantasy art as a career. I fell in love with the "Art of Dragonlance" book I get for my 12th birthday, hehe.
This'll be the third trip I've had with him. He's become somewhat of a mentor to me, and a good friend. I'm sure we'll have a wonderful time and I hope I will learn a lot!
Notre Dame is amazing, its probably the most impressive buidling you will ever see. When you stand directly under it and look up, you see so many faces of statues all stairing back down at you, all different, all unique.
The inside is also impressive, the only thing that annoys me is the fact that its usualyl so overly full you cant see everything porperly.
The painting is beautiful!
Thank you Lindy!
I only have a little bit of time actually in Paris basically I'm flying into the airport, doing a car tour, and then it's off to the countryside. If I like what I see though, I definitely will want to go back and spend some real time there....
Thank you so much! >^___^<
Yay! I can't wait!
I know I've been reading about France and art history, etc too. OMG its so soon O_O I will actually get to MEET the Jas and Del in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!
Jas you have totally outdone yourself, that painting is beyond brilliant. The background is soooooooo lovely! What a great idea too :)
>^___^< Thank you Kayti!!!
OMG she is absolutely gorgeous. =)
The Secret of Notre Dame is STUNNING!!!! The backdrop is perfect. And the faerie truly looks as if she belongs on the rooftops of Notre Dame!!
Thank you Dawn! I really had a good time painting this one. Perhaps I'll have even more inspiration when I return from my trip!

France? Me too!!
How wierd, I'll be in France from the 17th too. Must be the month for it :o)...I've already packed my sketch book ready to go :o)
It's a shame we won't really see this absolutely beautiful lady amongst the gargoyles of the Notre Dame. This is one of your best so far I think, congratulations!
Enjoy lovely France - a bientot and bon voyage. Caroline :o)
Coincidence! Very cool! I hope that you have a wonderful time as well, Caroline!
OMG your Notre Dame painting is wonderful!!! You continue to amaze me, and congrats on the Busch Gardens thing! I grew up in Tampa, so I've been there tons of times. Pretty soon you're gonna rule the world!!! ;)
Thank you Becca!!!
Hehe, I love Busch Gardens too - I am so tickled that they have my stuff there, lol.
This is stunning Jasmine. So cool that you actually painted a city down there. Looks really cool. And as always I admire the colour use :)
Thank you Pixie! I had a great time on that one. I bought a new camera and will be sure to take lots of reference photos of cityscapes and medieval villages in France, so you might see more stuff like that from me upon my return!
wow, you coming to my city? :)
Cool, Paris is pretty. :)
Yep!! Actually I'm just flying in to Charles De Gaulle airport, and then getting whisked off down to the Burgundy countryside. It's an artist retreat in a 15th Century castle/guesthouse - I'm very much looking forward to it. I do get a "car tour" of Paris, I'd like to come back again sometime when I can actually spend at least a day or two there.... it looks beautiful!
I LOVE THIS!! It makes me miss Paris! This painting is breathtaking, truly one of your best ever! I can tell you put a LOT of work into it.
I adore the glittery and glowing minis, too, :)
Thank you Mom!!! I'm really proud of this one =) Perhaps when I get back from France I'll be even better at this type of stuff!
