Things are finally getting back to normal, getting caught up from the slew of houseguests we've had since Christmas. The house seems kinda empty now =/ I miss everybody, we had a lot of fun with Kachina & the kids staying here.
I've gotten a chance to paint though - a lighthearted piece inspired by a fan who asked me "How come you don't have any faeries sitting on moons?". A very iconic image, I know it's been done before, but hey - not by me ;)
So we have Luna - click below to see her:
Isn't she pretty?
Matt & I went and saw El Laberinto del Fauno (ie, "Pan's Labyrinth) the other day. What a great movie, I loved it so much. I will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out, it is already one of my favourite movies. I had heard a lot of hype and good things about it before I saw it, rarely does a film meet such high expectations, yay! It's rated R, and has some very violent, nervous, and scary parts to it, so if that type of thing bothers you you might not like that part, but it's a wonderful movie all the same. We Netflixed "The Devil's Backbone" - another Guillermo del Toro movie - we'll probably watch that tonight after I finish painting.
I've gotten my first shipment of my new line of open edition statues (These ones HERE) in the mail. I will be "debuting" them at Mega-Con first - http://www.megaconvention.com - February 16th-18th - so those of you who come to Mega-Con to see me (corner booth 713 in the Exhibitors Room!) will get first dibs! After that, I'll be adding them on my website, etc.
I'd better go play some more catch-up on work, hope everybody enjoys the new painting!
