I have a new MEDUSA painting...and a new KITTY!

So the other day I was browsing Petfinder.com (best place in the world to find your next pet!), and I came across a sweet looking feral/wild mother cat named "Mama Wolf". She looked so cute, was a rescue, spayed, sounded like she had a good personality, and since we only have one cat now and we have room for two, we made an appointment to see her today. And we adopted her!

She is such a sweetie. She can't meow, she just opens her mouth and croaks or makes no noise, it's really cute, lol. She is small, kind of long haired, a couple of years old, tabby-ish - she looks a lot like a bobcat or a lynx, but has a huge fluffy tail. She has been hiding under our couch most of the day, but is now wandering around the house wanting to be cozy with us. She's still not too sure about Azrael (our other kitty) - he's a little too curious and too friendly, so she's hissed at him a few times. But overall I think that they will get along fine. I thought that her given name "Mama Wolf" was really cute and it suits her, so we'll probably just keep her with that name.

I'll try to get some pictures of her up asap! She was from this rescue group:

http://itsaboutcats.rescuegroups.org - but her page is gone now since she's been adopted, hehe. Her kittens are there though - Hershey2, Sparky2 & Milkdud - I met them today too, they are very sweet.

In other news - I have a brand new FRAMED original painting! Yep, another framed one. I sold both of the framed originals from my eBay store this week, so I thought I'd get another up there. If nobody buys it in the next couple of weeks I will be bringing it with me to Mega-Con in Orlando to show there. It is a portrait of Medusa! I painted another Medusa about six years ago, but I'm a much better painter now so I thought I'd give her another try, and I'm glad I did - this one turned out beautifully. Another painting with a LOT of detail, all of those snakes.... click below to see her....

Neat, eh? I love painting on oval canvases! She's up for a fixed price, but I'm always open to "Best Offers" if you have another price in mind.

I'll try to catch up on LiveJournal asap - hope you all are doing well, and enjoy the new artwork!

EDIT: 11:01PM EST - thank you Athena! Here is the link to Mama Wolf's page at the shelter, for those of you who are interested in seeing her:
