Lovely as usual Jasmine! I really love the colors, specially on the corset. Highly detailed, The dragon looks like he's staring at out at you, neat. =P -Bre
oh, man, that painting is stunning!! O_O
Thank you Meredith, I had fun with this one and very happy with how it turned out.
I adore the color scheme on this one! Definitly one of my new favourites! Very nice work!
Thank you very very much!!
Your painting is wonderful! I especially love her clothes! Gosh it would be so awesome if I could somehow get to MegaCon. It's in Orlando, and I'm in Gainesville, so I might be able to swing it. I never been to any kind of "con" before, I think it would really kick my butt into getting serious about my art. And it would be great to meet you and Matt!
Thank you Becca!
I haven't been to Mega-Con yet either, but I have heard good things from exhibitors and other visitors too, so I'm looking forward to it. It would be awesome if you could come - we'd like to meet you!
Thank you Sophia! I kind of sketched it out with a pencil first, I think that helped with the composition (in fact, I should probably do that with a lot of my paintings first, lol - that might help!).
oh my, it's so gorgeous!! If I had the money I would surely have been bidding. I want it hahaha.
So yes, it is a very pretty one, we simply have to agree. I bet it's as if the dragon walks atraight out of the painting.
Lol, so you are not good at being at two places either? I have been trying and trying but somehow I always end up feeling all mixed up ;)
Good luck with the mega-con!!!
Thank you Miri!!!
Yeah, I seriously need to practice my bi-location abilities!
This is absolutely gorgeous honey!! =)
I'm so excited to hear about Mega-Con. I think I will have to get out there. =)
Thank you Jess!
Awesome! That would be great if you could get out to the Mega-Con - it's right in the Orange County Convention Center, around where I-4 crosses the Bee Line Expressway. It should be fun!
Beautiful and unique painting jasmine! I love the black dragon and how you incorporated in the monarch butterfly pattern!
Thank you Candace!
Typically I give dragons kind of scaley, bat-like wings, so I thought I'd try butterfly-like wings for a change, and I really like how it turned out.
Ohhhh I just love this one Jasmine :D I think your Dragon series is my fave :D
Mega Con? I didn't even know there was such a thing! How cool it's right there in Orlando too! Your really going to make a killing there! You'll be able to go home at night and restock for the next day! Hehe! Matt is going to go hang out at the Hulks table :D
Thank you Carrie!!
Mega-Con sounds pretty cool - it was recommended to me both by other exhibitors and by patrons/visitors, so it sounds pretty great. It's not far from my house and it's in the same building I did INATS at earlier this year, so hopefully it won't be too overwhelming!

New fan w/ suggestions...
Well, you've got a fan in me, lol. I love fairies, but I'm anti-Disney...so your work fits juuuust right. As soon as I become wealthy enough to commission some work, I'll be starting with you. (My favorite so far is definitely Tribal Fairy.)
Oh, I have a suggestion in case you're looking to expand subject matter (within fairy genre). I'd love to see some ethnic variety in fantasy art...all dragonslayers and mermaids can't all be so pale, lol. How about a Rasta Fairy? or Thug Fairy? (Big ups on the Hindu Fairy and Geisha.) Just an idea, though. Some artists seem to insist that fairies, elves, etc. are all nature-based beings, and are loathe to portray them any other way. I think it'd be alot more interesting to see an urban fairy...like a fairy on the subway, above people's heads, but still holding on to the rail.
I also always wanted to see fairies with a dash of pseudo-reality...eg. a painting of a fairy after a long day of fairy-ing - kicking off an elfin shoe, holding an acorn of brew - that kind of thing.
That's pretty much it. Keep up the great work!
(BTW, my myspace isn't usually that sexy. I'm actually kinda anti-govt, but I've been a little repressed lately, lol...)

Re: New fan w/ suggestions...
Thank you so much for your post and for your suggestions - I'm always interested in hearing new ideas for expanding my work. I'm DEFINITELY trying to integrate more new faces and ethnic influences in my work. I just did a new painting the other day here:http://www.strangeling.org/fairygroupportrait2.jpg
where I show a good variety of faeries (with skintones ranging from fair, to brown, to green, lol).
I'm also working on an urban influenced series called "Camouflage" - I have finished the first one here:http://www.strangeling.com/camouflage1.html
with kind of a graffiti influence, and I have many more planned. LOL - I like your "acorn of brew" idea.
Thank you again for taking the time to comment and for the suggestions!!

MegaCon is so much drama.. but I'm sure you'll have fun.
And wow.. Dark Dragon has to be one of your best.. ever. I am awed, and floored, and anything else I can be. Oh Jasmine, it's amazing. Really!
Thank you Tamara!
I'm looking forward to it - I had a great time with my booth at Dragon*Con. I know I probably won't get to walk around much, but I'll at least get to talk to folks at my booth & sell stuff, etc.
This piece is AMAZING! I just love the colors and composition. I do hope you have safe travles during the holiday and get to relax and enjoy a bit. Really great work. Happy Holidays.
Thank you so much! Happy Holidays to you as well!
