Lo and behold, a few hours later I saw the news online that those of us in Central Florida experienced an earthquake (a 6.0 in the Gulf of Mexico). What the heck? Hurricanes, sure, but an earthquake here in Florida? It's the END TIMES I tell you, END TIMES! EARTH CHANGES! ;P (just kidding).
It was weird though - I've never felt an earthquake. There is that big fault by Missouri where I grew up but I never felt an earthquake there.
It's just something that caught me off-guard, but it was a very minor (barely noticeable) incident.
Since we have come back from Dragon*Con we have been so busy trying to catch-up on everything. I've also been working on updating my website, which is always a big headache.
I'm also working on a new painting that is really, really, really cool - you can watch me while I paint here:
Hopefully I will finish it in time to post it tonight!
They are selling Syd Barrett's house.
I wish I could buy it. It would meaning selling my own house though, and I can't do that. I wish I'd win the lottery =P I hope whoever does buy it doesn't change it around or re-decorate very much.
Apparently they are selling all of his possessions too. In a way it seems kind of wrong, I don't know what to think about that. It is weird to think that after a person dies a bunch of people come sort through his stuff and auctions it to the highest bidder. They are selling everything - books he had, his bicycles, his paints, paintings, guitar, furniture, etc. It's weird to see his personal belongings on display like that.
However, you can bet I've already pre-ordered an advance catalogue from Cheffin's Auction House - the auctions start at the end of November. We'll see. I would love to have one of his bicycles (don't make me start singing "Bike" now!), or at least some of his paints or artwork.
Anyway - I need to get to work! Watch me paint some goblins!
