New painting, MINIS, and other new art stuffs..... [Jan. 10th, 2006|10:12 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Man, I have been working hard.....

But at least I've been getting a lot of stuff done!

I wanted to do an orchid themed painting for the "flower of the month" up at EBSQ, and I finished it - it turned out REALLY cool. Slightly odd, but very pretty. Kind of an Elizabethan style portrait of a pale fairy princess amongst some matching orchids. I am very pleased with how she turned out....click below to see her.....

"Princess of Orchids" ORIGINAL PAINTING

She's up in my eBay store at a fixed price, but as usual - if you are feeling lucky - you can try the "Submit Best Offer" option if you have another offer ;)

And then I have a BUNCH of little tiny MINI paintings! Each is a 3"x5" original painting, and each is at a fixed $50 pricetag - these tend to go very very quickly, so I apologize if any (or all) of these have sold already, hehe. Just click on the titles to see them:

"A Worrying Bee"

& "Green Haired Blue Eyed Fairy"

& "One Green Eye"

& "Pink Hair, Green Leaves"

& "Beetle Wings"

& "My Pet Ladybug"

And then, I have the first (#01/25) limited edition hand embellished CANVAS print up for "Queen of Insects" here:

"Queen of Insects" LT. ED. CANVAS PRINT

and the open editions are on sale:

"Queen of Insects" 8x10 print $10 SALE

& "Queen of Insects" 12x16 print $20 SALE

To see ALL of my SALE prints, click HERE and to see ALL of my other paintings, click HERE

Whew! I am so tired now. I'm going to take the rest of the evening off and have something to eat & drink!

Enjoy!

She's lovely! I think her strangeness makes her so special! Those were the orchids I was considering using for the show, but I think I'll switch over to the fairy slipper now! LOL XOXO!

Stickers

Hello Jasmine - need more stickers!!
I have an art portfolio in which I keep all your wonderful 8x10s I've been collecting and I'd love to have a big Gothling sticker (any one will do), with which to decorate the cover - or maybe "Hunger Pains" or "Queen of Bones" - wow, any from the Gothic Art Gallery would be awesome. Any plans to offer more stickers? Thanks!

Re: Stickers

Hi there!

Oh yes, there will be more stickers in the near future =)

I don't usually know which paintings will be made into stickers though - that's up to the merchandise company that licenses my artwork - I'm not involved in making the stickers myself.

You might want to check out your local Hot Topic store (if they are in your area) - they carry some exclusive stickers that I myself don't have in stock - I know they did one of my Gothlings recently (Gothling #1) as a really pretty sticker!

Her face is reminiscent of Jan Van Eyck.

Re: Orchid

Thank you Janice!!! I looked at a lot of royal portraits from the 15th & 16th Century before painting this - they all have that kind of elongated "idealized" style to them, which I quite like.
