Air conditioning! OMG!!! I had to pop the heat on for a bit up here in NC - the house was 61 degrees this morning when we got outta bed :-)
I LOVE cold weather! (I really actually do!!!)
HAve a good artin' day - we're off to an art supply show! YAY!!! ***TOYS***
Hope you had fun at the art supply show - that does sound like a good time!
Ours died a few weeks back, I can sympathize.
We still have days that get into the low 80s, so the air is on during the day, but the teperature is dropping to high forties at night, so we have the heat on. Heehee.
Have fun painting today! We're packing and loading a truck and moving to our new place. it makes me edgy, but at the same time, I'm happy to be getting out of this apartment to our new one that is MUCH more affordable. That means, in the coming year, we'll pay down our car loan, credit lines, and my student loan and then buy a house next October or November!
Argh, moving is awful and the hassles involved in buying a house are bad too. But once you finally get one and get settled, it is a good feeling =)
ah it's already starting to get freakin' cold here, lol!
This morning when I was going to the market I was considering gloves, lol O___o
Jasmine, here you need the AC year round the summers are awful 90 to 110 sometimes 120 and the fall now 80 to 85 night are cool. Sharon Hope you get it fixed soon.

Re: Can't be without AC here.
Matt fixed it! I'm proud of him, and very happy that we didn't have to pay any money, lol.
Matt fixed it a few hours later - I'm so happy!
I am a native Floridian.. and can't imagine life without the old AC.. hope it get's fixed for ya!
Matt figured out the problem and fixed it - so we're all good now! That was a scary couple of hours, lol.
you mean those people who do the gardening dont fix the air conditioners to? whats up with that?
Lol - that WOULD be pretty nice....
Luckily one of my other gardeners (that Matty boy) ended up fixing the air conditioner and it's running smoothly now =)
I'm so proud of Matt - he fixed it in just a few hours - now it's working great!! >^____^
Its finally starting to cool to a more temperate climate here now-upper sixtys low seventies.Still, I don't miss the english chill, but can definately empathise with the neccessity of air conditioning. I think the heat was my biggest shock when I came here.
Must be a big change for you!
We're quite far to the south here, so it's pretty warm year round, even more so than you guys!
If I can give Matt a hand with it, I'd be glad to! Or - I can pass along the number of the service that fixed mine, twice! (No, it was a different problem each time. :)
Thank you Brian!
Lo and behold though, shortly after I posted, Matt fixed it! All by himself! He looked at some stuff online and figured it out, huzzah!
Here in Texas we have the ac on too. It's hot today. I know what it's like to be without an ac. Be greatful that's not in the 100's cause you will be going insane.
I hope your ac is still under warranty. Be sure there isn't a mouse in the ac unit. LOL!!!!! Don't call Sears either, remember that mouse cost me a ton. LOL. Poor little mouse. Hopefully the ac is still under warranty. The last thing anyone needs is another bill to pay.
Have a great weekend.
Oh man, I remember that mouse story!
Lucky for me, Matt fixed it! He looked it up online and figured out the problem, so it didn't cost us anything. Lol - I guess it probably saved a few pennies on the electric bill since we went a few hours without running it, hehe.

i was wondering, do you ever get those days where you cant find anything to paint? or you try to paint but you're just not in the mood for it at that time, and stop before you end up ruinin the pic?
To be honest - nope! Not yet at least. I usually have the opposite problem, I try to do too many ideas at once, and I work myself half to death.
I'm blessed/cursed with an overactive imagination on top of a good dose of work-a-holism.
In South Africa where I use to live it use to be warm in the winter too but we never had AC, not even in public buildings like schools and such.
It was cold here today, perfect for lying in bed reading silly novels.
Oh no!! That's horrible!! It's starting to get pretty chilli up here in BC. I think it's somewhere between the 40s and 50s. It gets hot up here in the summer though and I hate it because my in-laws (we live with them...i know, it sucks) don't have central air, they only have a little window unit upstairs. So basically my window is open a little bit, year round. I'd rather be cold than hot ANYDAY!! Anyways...enough rambling...the painting is looking AWESOME!!!!
Hehe, not me - I moved down here specifically because I hate the cold, lol.
Luckily my husband was able to fix the AC =)
Oh my, that is a high temperature! I think it was like -2 degrees the other day here. Nice.
Almost forgot to tell you, 'tis me, Sorrel! I've just changed journals and decided to re-friend a couple of people who I wanted to keep in contact with. Everyone else had a choice, re-friend me or not. You don't have that luxury, you must stay on my Friends list so I can see the art!
I hope you have a good weekend too :)
