New painting! [Nov. 7th, 2005|08:26 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Oh my goodness, I just finished a really cool painting.... I'm uber-proud of this one....:

"Autumn Leaves Must Fall"

Isn't it lovely? It's good and big, too. I spent a lot of time working on the background, I think it has a good feeling of "depth". And a special thank you to Michaela for modeling ;) And another special thank you to Chad & Jeremy (wherever you are) for helping with the title, lol. And if anybody reading this knows who Chad & Jeremy are, you are awesome! ;)

I have broccoli soup in the crockpot!

Last night we took the evening off and went to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World! The weather was beautiful (as per usual) and they have their holiday decorations out already. We rode Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain and grabbed some veggie burgers at Cosmic Ray's. We also road on the TTA (People-Movers) while the fireworks were going on, so that was a lot of fun =)

I got some of my artist's samples of my little tins in the mail - they are so cute - little tin boxes with my art, I think there are six or seven designs. I might actually stock these on my website & eBay store, I'll let you guys know. They are really well done - they'll be in various stores and stuff too of course, more info on that later.

My painting/typing hand is so tired, ugh.

I'm going to go get something to drink - I sometimes get really thirsty while I'm painting but I'm too involved to stop painting and get up to get a drink, lol.

Talk to you all again soon! And oh yes, there are a few of the Captive Fairy Statues left. And yes I will let you all know when Lost...but Not Worried is in stock (as if I'd keep that quiet, lol).

I adore this one Jasmine-you do morning mist so skillfully, and I think you're trees are beautifully stylised.
One of your best works to date I think.

Very awesome Jasmine! The depth is fantastic!! So nice of your friend to model for you! I'm so jealous that you got to have broccoli soup! I went to Tim Horton's (a canadian coffee place but they also have soups and sandwiches) mainly to get a bowl of cream of broccoli soup tonight and the jerks didn't have any! We have two in town and I went to both because I wanted some so bad! lol Needless to say, I came home with just a lousy sandwich that wasn't even fixed the way I had ordered it lol. Anyways...enough complaining from me. Hope your soup was good :). Great painting!! *hugs*

owwww wow, This is my favourite all times I think, haha. The girl has such a classic looking face, so pretty. Like the faces you see in those older paintings, you know what I mean. It fits so well with the background. You did an amazing job on that...wow!!!

And tin boxes? You make me very interested, lol

Love this one Jasmine!! I like seeing these forest cathedrals pop up in artist's work because I am fascinated with them at the moment.

They are really cute! They have 5 or 6 designs - I only have the samples of them so far, but I will probably order some to keep in stock.
