Creepy [Jan. 30th, 2003|06:45 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
I just got a ring at my door. I looked through my peep-hole and since the person was backlit, I couldn't tell who it was. It looked like it could maybe be my dad, so I opened up the door. It was a man brandishing a "Private Investigator's License" (hmmm... I didn't even know there was such a thing). He wanted to come in and ask me some questions about some woman I've never heard of. I basically told him I never heard of the lady, and I locked the door. For some reason it kinda creeped me out. I wish Matt was home =(

im glad you diddnt let him in. anyone can become a private investigator and probably even more people could get a fake liscence to brandish. go with your gut.

I would have been freaked too...if it was dark outside and I was alone I probably wouldn't have even opened the door. A few months ago in my area we had a incident with lady in an fairly nice apartment complex who worked at home. She had a white male knock on her door at about 10 or 11 in the morning, when she answered the door he forced his way inside. She was able to get out and call 911...when the police came to check her apartment they did not realize the guy was still hiding inside and they had a shoot out. There are places where you can get even get really convincing fake police badges so you have to be careful about stuff like that...they rec=commend if a suspicious officer comes to your door to dial 911 to confirm they are official.
