I'm getting so excited! At the end of this month I'm going to Kansas City to go meet my new little niece, Eleanor Paisley! And of course to visit the rest of my family too, hehe. I can't wait to see my little Theodore too - he's my sweetie!!! >^__^<|
We might try to hit the Renaissance Festival too! Amber & Chris are going as well, and they'd probably like to go, and maybe my dad & Robin would too. I'm not sure if Kachina & family could go - Eleanor is probably too little, lol. She's only 10 days old after all!
HAPPY EQUINOX/FALL/MABON/AUTUMN/ETC. EVERYBODY!!!
Today I'm going to be working on the painting I started last night - it's going to be one of my "ribbon faeries" (like Captive Fairy, Starry Night Fairy, etc.) I think it will be a darker more gothic type piece - maybe a black ribbon fairy - we'll see. I should have her finished hopefully tonight! She's going to be pretty darned cool, I might put her up in my eBay store, I haven't done that for awhile and it's running low (I just have one fixed price original in my store left!). I might also put a new custom fairy auction up - I was thinking about offering a BIG one this time (usually I just do 9x12s). I'll see how much time I have!
Let me see.... not much else going on. The Vegetable Man comes today, I'm looking forward to that. I like getting organic vegetables like that, it's fun, they're better than store-bought and it's always a surprise. It's interesting because it's often stuff I wouldn't have necessarily picked out for myself, so it forces me to try new things and be creative with my cooking!
I'll probably be painting shortly - I've got a few things to catch up on and then I'll be working on the new painting the rest of the day! you can always peek in at my webcam HERE while I work.
Those of you in Hurricane Rita's path - BE SAFE!

the black ribbon fairy sounds kool! im gona look at the webcam rite now
I really like it, they are always really tasty too!
Same here - it's funny, I always had this vague notion in my head that "vegetables used to taste better", remembering the tomatoes and squashes we grew in the garden, etc. Then I tried some organic vegetables and realized that it's just probably just the chemicals and junk from store-bought that takes some of the flavour out of them. I really love vegetables of all kinds, hehe, but when I'm eating them raw I really like the more natural variety! It's also nice to support local businesses & farmers.
Hi Jasmine! I would love to see a dark, black ribbon fairy from you!Heck, I love looking at all your work-you're so prolific and inspirational! I painted Saturday from 12 lunch until 3:30 in the morning Sunday, then several more hours around lunch Sunday and I thought about you saying that all you did was paint and you never went out of the house hardly!
Thank you! =)
Oh my, it's the truth. I'll go a couple weeks sometimes without even going to the corner store or anything like that. It's kind of sad really, all I do is paint.
Your extreme discipline is obviously paying off-you're so successful. But, you still deserve to have a life too and do nothing sometimes! Hope you manage to steal away some free time! :)
Eleanor Paisley, I love that name!! That is too cute! ^______^
My Grandmas name was Eleanor too. Eleanor Winnifred, which was where I got the "Winnie" from when I named my baby Win
. I got her about a week after my Grandma died, so to honour her memory I named my cat after her. =)
Eleanor is a good name - I don't see a lot of younger people with it, so it's kind of unique too.
Definitely, it's one of those old fashion names that has sort of died out with the passing years and "trendy" names.
The KC Ren Fest is the best. Seriously. I haven't been to an Ren Fest since KC that I actually *loved* like the KC one. And I'm from KS..so..y'know. :)
Definately try to go while you're up there...since..you'll be enduring Kansas anyhow. ;)
It really is a good festival!
The one I go to in Florida (Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Tampa) is actually owned by the same company that puts on the KC one. It's got eery similarities, same food signs, a lot of the same vendors, stuff like that. I might try to have a booth for my art at it this next spring....
I haven't been to a fest since I moved to the Tampa area ~1 yr ago, actually. I'd just been to others in the midwest, mostly. I'll definately have to check out the Tampa one this spring. :)
It's a nice festival. It's been around for 20-30 years but it had to switch locations just two years ago, so they don't have their permanent buildings yet. It's now by the Museum of Science & Industry - it's a good spot for it!
My first name is Paisley! : )
by the way, are you still taking "art photos?"
