I finished her! And in time to meet my deadline =)|
She's going to be "September" in a new fairy calendar, and whoever buys her also gets to take home the preliminary sketch I did for her too, just as a keepsake (it's not that great, lol, but might be interesting to some).
Click below to see her.....
And then with some extra canvas scraps, so we have two new little minis:
"Violet Eyed Beauty"
"Fairy in a Turquoise Dress"
All right! I might go try to squeeze some more painting in on that giant commission now =) See you all soon!
The autumn fairy is sooooo cute.
Violet eyed beauty..wow and the fairy in the t. dress...very nicely done.
Great job. :)
Thank you very very much!!
I absolutely love this fairy! I think this might be my new favorite one. The colors in it are so beautiful. I definitely have to buy the calender when it comes out because September is my birthday month, and I have my favorite fairy for my birthday month :o)Yeahh!
Thank you so much! I really like the colours of fall.
Jasmine, I just sent you an e-mail on this an need a reply when you can. Sharon
Non stop painting lol!
Autumn Night Fairy is amazing. I absolutely love the colours. Reminds me of walking in the park (or in my case slipping on the wet leaves and getting mud all over me!) with all the leaves on the ground when they're brown and red. So lovely!
Thank you Sorrel! That's just the sort of feelings/memories I wanted to evoke with the colour scheme - definitely the autumn thoughts I have too =)
I saw your work printed on a t-shirt hanging in a shop called chimera in Amsterdam!!!! I hope you are aware of this?
Sorry about that last post! I was logged in on my husband's computer, lol!
Thank you for letting me know!
Was it one of these? http://www.strangeling.org/fairyshirts.jpg
If so, it's a licensed product. If not - do you remember what it looked like? Please let me know if possible. I have had problems with illegal shirts and I need to give the info to my lawyer.
Thank you so much!

are you goin to be able to show us the giant commission? it sounds really interesting.
great job on the autumn fairy :D
Oh yes! I will after I'm finished =) I won't be done until after I'm back from my trip though, so you need to wait a little, lol. It's 48"x60" - that's about 36 times as big as one of my 8"x10" paintings, and the same level of detail, so it's taking accordingly long, hehe.
OMG WOW!!!! I love this painting as much as I love your "Bringer of Lightning". I can't wait to get some extra money to get a print of both of those! It's driving me mad that I don't have any extra money lately!

using your art for an avatar
I was on an authors message board and I found someone using your art as an avatar but not putting (c) Jasmine Becket-Griffith or linking it to your website anywhere. I'm not sure if you care or not, I looked through your websites FAQ, but didn't see anything one way or the other about it, though I do know a lot of other artists here on LJ do mind about this kind of stuff, so I thought I'd let you know.
Here's the link to their profile:
OMD, she is just... I can't find a word to describe it, she's defenetly one of my favorites! I looooooooove the colors you used! <3
