All working good now!!! :)
Ooops, except the Jasmine's ebay link and the see them all together click here link....
Thank you Colleen! I'm doing this all on AOL instead of IE and I think it's throwing me off, lol.
Yay! I can see them! Beautiful. They turned out really well.
My publisher thinks that those "masterwork replicas" that that eBay store was selling of my art illegally, are actually just canvas transfers, and she is just lying about them being oil on canvas paintings.
Do you google your name to check if anyones site is illegally copying and selling your work?
It's rampant in China now, with their "art shops" that art on eBay is being downloaded, copied and sold all over the world.
Thank you very much!
That is just awful! I'd believe it though - I've seen a lot of copyright infringement pop up on eBay in the form of the alleged "masterpiece copy" factories out of Hong Kong/China. I wouldn't doubt that they are just painted-over canvas transfers. Heck, even my own canvas prints that I make are pretty close to looking like original paintings themselves! With printing technology nowadays, I'll bet a lot of people try to pass of prints as originals.
Oh yes, I keep an eye out all over the net for my own stuff, belive me! Also whenever anything suspicous pops up I typically get a lot of emails about it from fans and other artist friends who are online. And of course, I have a lawyer now who takes care of that stuff for me.
Did you take any kind of legal action against the place making illegal copies?
My publishers lawyers are handling it. I've been hearing a lot about the China knock-offs. Apparently, its about 60% of the countries income.
That's awful. I remember reading somewhere online about the "art students" who live at the painting factories and what deplorable conditions they work & live in too. A bad system all the way.
YAY more cute minis from Jasmine!! Your Golden Butterfly is Gorgeous!!!
I'm glad your trip was wonderful! Boy, you so much as blink and those minis are gone! Beautiful work, I haven't been around for a while so i just saw your invoking the eclipse and lightning bringer and they are just beyond words. The feeling they inspire is awesome. i can't wait until your book is out!
Thank you very much, Jenga!!!
Heeey Jasmine, Welcome back, and you made some great minis again, wow!!
Jasmine, Can you add a print of Green Ribbon Fairy, to the print I already purchase, I will mail you another check. Sharon Also any word on your book yet?
Hehe - I'm emailing you this second actually ;)
Don't worry - I will make a huge gigantic post when I get book news, believe me! :)
Hey I just wamted to let you know I purchased two of your stickers from Hot Topic today! I saw them in the glass case and had to get them! Whoo whee! I've been looking for them for a while and then the store had them.
Lol - sorry for the confusion - that was actually me - on my husband's computer, lol.
The ones that I purchased were:
There were two more but I"m sure I'll end up getting those soon. :)
Awesome! I knew that the new ones were coming out soon - I just didn't know if they were actually in stores yet, woohoo! >^___^<
They also had a green one but can't remember which green one it was. And a blue one with the cross in the background. I may end up getting those soon. :D
The one hot topic near where I live had them but the one near my work didn't have them. Go figure! I guess it varies in stores?
I'll have to go check up at the mall myself, hehe! Yeah, some store locations get them in stock before others. They also tend to sell out fast. They'll probably go up on www.hottopic.com too eventually =)
Oooh that means I should go back to the store today and get the other two! hehehehe I may end up doing that today after doing a photoshooting a model and going to the grocery store. :D
Your new painting is looking really cooool! ;-)
Duhh.... I'm on Matt's computer - this is actually Jasmine ;P
Lol! You really ARE the Cheshire Cat--hehe!
Oh yes, we have 4 printers - my husband Matt works for me as a full-time printboy, hehe. There's no way I could use a printshop - I have too high of a volume and about 300 different images - it would get crazy!
For 12"x16" prints I'd suggest the Epson 2200 Wide Format - it'll do prints in the Super B 13"x19" size that'll last for 150 years. They're about $600-$700, but a great investment. They will make great canvas prints. Pretty much any new Wide Format printer will make good Super B sized prints - for my Open Editions I use an HP 9300 - I think it was $400 or so.
I'd really suggest making your own - it will give you control over quality and colour correction, you can print on demand without any minimum runs, etc. And the profit margin is incredibly higher. I buy the good inks & papers online in large quantities and some of them are also at Costco for cheap.
Actually, I'd like one of these....http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/WideFormat/WideFormatDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=-12982&category=
44" wide - wow!
