I'm so glad to hear you had a fun, safe trip!
Glad to hear your vacation went well!
will we be able to see this large grand scale painting?? or will it be private? just wonderign ... :)
They do look a little similar, but they're really quite different. Kind of kangaroo-rat-ish in a way, hehe. They're also very clever and sociable with humans.
Welcome back! Never heard of a degu before!!
I was in an art shoppe the other day and saw a 12' x 8 ' stretched canvas and immediately thought of you!
Eek! I couldn't even fit that in my studio, I don't think. LOL!
Holy Crap!!! That is HUGE!!! How the heck would you paint something that Big! LoL...Tack the Canvas up on the wall??..LOL
Sounds like you had a ton of fun up there!!!! I'm starting to miss my family too, My sister's Mostly, but My oldest sister and her 3 kids should be down in Oct.!
Matt will cut me a big board of MDF probably - I typically have to do that with the uber-big ones.

god jasmine, 60x48? thats huge!! will it be on the webcam or is it private?
great to hear you had a good time with your family,
*peeps in on the minis*
I think it will be a webcam broadcast one! I'll need to check with my customer first though to make sure =)
Im glad you had a good time. I know that dazed feeling of coming back from being on a trip, I usually have that feeling to and just need to spend a day getting use to being at home and getting rid of all the active hyper energy from the trip.
Wow though, "It will be 60"x48"" Im sure it will be an undertaking, But Im sure your getting a bunch of money from this commission too, extra cash is always nice! I hope that they allow you to show us the painting on your LJ or something, id really be interested in seeing one of your paintings on such a large scale. :)
Glad to have you back on LJ :)
I'll double check, but I think they'll be fine with me working in front of the cam =)
I think it's too big to actually scan for prints though - I don't think my computer could handle it, memory-wise.

Hi, I just wanted to pay my compliments to you, you do an outstanding job, you've painted so many beautiful and creative pictures, keep up the good work, it amazes me how many you've done, how impressive, and they are all different and unique...how do you think of them all??? Well, it's very impressive, I plan on buying a whole bunch of prints to frame for my daughter's room (she's 6 months), but I think she will love the colors and imagination as she grows older :)
Thank you so very much for your kind words! I've always had an over-active imagination, I guess =)
And welcome to my journal!
Good to have you back Jasmine!
It sounds like you've had a great time, 4th of July sounds lovely especially :)
Wow, 5 feet across?! That is certainly one large painting lol!
i hope you have a lovely weekend...i am still imagining you painting something as big as yourself almost. that is insane...i will be so impressed. you could always take a digi cam picture..it wont come out super clear or anything but we could see the lifesized painting..actually i would like to see a picture of you standing next to it..and i am sure the person it is for would get such a kick out of that.
oh well, off to run errands.
Welcome back. Glad to hear that you had a great 4th of july. I hope you weren't being the house guest from hell. LOL. (for those who don't know I recently had the house guest from hell. I'm so glad they are gone.)
Good luck on your new painting. 5 feet is huge. You might as well tilt the dining room table (assuming your dinging room is as long as ours) and use that as your easel.
I guess this person really wanted a mural for their wall.
Again welcome home and good luck painting this one. I hope your hand doesn't fall off. So if we hear that you are in hospital we know why. You hand fell off after all. LOL
I'm glad I got to see you and Matt!
