Will do!! I've liked all the Batman movies so far, even the ones that weren't that great, lol.
Lady Grey has a citrusy flavor in addition to the bergamot!
Your salad is making me hungry. I want door-delivered produce!
Enjoy Batman! Matt and I really liked it... although we both feel none of the villains come up to Jack Nicholson.
I should have known you'd have the answer! It sure is tasty!
I'm looking forward to it =) I agree though - Jack Nicholson is the best!
Your commission is adorable!!! :D Dewey & Ian saw Batman Begins and they both loved it!
Thank you Carrie!!! I just sent off the scans of the finished piece. I won't be selling prints of it, but I'll ask the customer if I can post it in my journal for my friends to see at least =)
I'd love to see you paint my dogs with a couple of faeries oneday! Its very tricky to paint such a furry white dogs like Vicki. At least for me it is!
I don't know about the difference in the tea's. I think its probably only very slightly and maybe its more about marketing. Earl Grey is always packaged in a rather manly designed box and the LAdy tea is more feminine? Who knows!
It is kind of tricky painting such furry doggies! It's kind of a fun challenge though. How is Vicki doing? Is she feeling any better?
Lady Grey has added orange and lemon flavor in addition to the familiar bergamot of Earl Grey. I can never decide which is my fave. :)
Now that I've read this, I can totally taste the citrus!
I had some Earl Grey flavoured Lemonade up at Downtown Disney - it was delicious!
MMMMH! Your salad sounds like it's going to be super delicious! I LOVE big salads with lots of different things like that in them!
I did indeed end up making it - and it was so tasty!!!!

I love Earl Grey as it smells like lavendar and is such a pure taste. I am a 2 cup a day coffee addict, I am also a vegatarian but can't give up the coffee as I love it so.
Batman Begins is my favorite movie of the batmans, though I like the catwoman one allot as I loved the background on the character and dark mood of that movie. Batman movie will really suprise you its not like you expect its MORE and much more. Really broke out of the box I feel and scored a 9 out of 10 for me. My other fav of this year is "The Incredibles" if anyone has not seen it rent it on dvd.
I can't wait to see it!
Oh yes - I LOVED the Incredibles - that was an excellent movie!
AHahah you're not going to try out any of those fabulous Swiss chard recipes?????? hehehehehe
You inspired me to go to the Farmer's Market...I should send you some Orange Blossom Honey(Actually made by bees in the orange groves)...Have you had any before? It tastes so interesting!!!
Hehehe If I never had to get out of the pool it would be good. I perpetually Have that "chloriney" Smell All summer and I Luff it!!
I am not a huge fan of Earl Grey tea..I always thought it tasted too perfumey..Which is odd since I LOVE Chai...Heheheheh
Get your work done and then go have some fun!!!!..TEll me how the movie is!!!
Oh, don't worry - I will! I'll probably go with a simple recipe first, so I can get a good idea of the flavour.
Actually I did have some orange blossom honey - it was at a Farmer's Market too! We have a lot of it down here (we're kind of in the middle of orange orchards on all sides here in Central Florida) - it's neat how the flavour works its way into the honey!
Earl Grey is perfumey, but I like it! >^__^< I like chai too, hehe. I like pretty much any tea.....
According to Twinings Website, regarding Lady Grey tea:
For hundreds of years people have enjoyed herbal infusions. This unique blend combines the citrus zest of lemon with the warming effects of ginger. Naturally caffeine free it may be served anytime of the day.
I guess this means you don't have to count it as your caffeine drink?
Yay! That makes me happy - I might have another cup then! Thank you Chi!
apparently herbal tea is just as 'energy providing' or whatever, as caffeine based drinks, and is better for you. so my brother says anyway, don't take my word for it! hehe. anyway, love and best wishes, keep working! it keeps us all sane! love hannah xx p.s, you would have loved the storm we just had... huuuuge flashes all over this mill we have near us. great stuff. xxxx
Storms!!! >^__^< It's starting to get a little cloudy out here - we might get a storm today yet....
I like herbal teas a lot too - they are more creative when they don't have to necessarily have a traditional tea base. I had a "fruits and flowers" tea that was all different flower blossoms and dried fruits - it was delicious!
A six-pack of beer??? lol!!!!
That salad sounds so delicious. Now my mouth is watering!!
Do you think you'll be allowed to post the pet portrait you are working on? It sounds so cute!
I'm not to sell prints of it, but I'll check and see if I can post it here in my journal for you all to see at least - I just finished it and it turned out really really well!
Well, your tea question was already answered so...
My friends and I made a compromise. They sit through Howl's Moving Castle with me and I sit through Batman Begins with them. They were both pretty good! ^_^
we saw it friday and it was excellent! very very cool =) probably taking my dad to a matinee today. i saw in your last post that you picked up some lambic, that is my most favoritest beer in the world! flash might try to make me some but it takes like 4 months to be ready :P man that salad your about to make sounds majorly grotesque, i have a thing about fruit in salad...i hope you guys have fun at the movie!!=)
Ha! I think I first heard about lambics from your journal actually! And then Amber recognized one at Whole Foods (a Belgium Raspberry Framboise Lambic) that she had before and was really good, so we all started picking out funny ones we hadn't heard of before, lol. The boys picked out some ale too - "Hobgoblin Ale" it was called. I'll bet it's yucky, but at least it has a cool name, hehe.
The pet commission is just beautiful Jasmine! I love how you paint animals! They just come to life on the canvas!!!
Thank you Colleen!!! I just finished up and it turned out so lovely - it was truly a joy to paint. I won't be selling prints of it, but if I get permission I will post here for you guys to peek at =)
Paint animals is really fun, I love to paint animals and draw them too.
I always wanted to paint my cat but I cant seem to draw him well.
Here is a pic of him: http://www.freewebs.com/atlantisdevil1/Tommy2.JPG
Do you ever take ideas from people and then paint them without charging them? Because i was wondering, since you are such a great painter..if you would paint tommy for me? He died on July 9th 2004. I really really loved him alot and seeming has how you are into painting animals i was wondering if you could paint him ...for me. Or just as an idea of an animal to paint.
I pretty much just do portraits, etc. on a commissioned basis (for more info on my commissions, click here: http://www.strangeling.com/commissions.html
However - a LOT of people do send me photos of themselves and their pets to go in my "models file" - I keep a lot of volunteered photos for reference, and sometimes I use them in my own paintings. So if you'd like me to keep the reference photo of Tommy in my file for cat reference, I might someday use it (no guarantee though, I do get a lot of photos!). If I did I would of course send you a free print =)
