Assorted stuff

They eventually played the Simpsons on Sunday - (I had to watch 18 minutes of football first though, yuck). I really liked it, obviously being a Disney fan that was part of it, but it was also very funny and well-written. I like Skinner-centric episodes a lot for some reason.

Yesterday Matt and I had our Christmas celebration, where we let each other pick out presents for ourselves (lots of fun and a lot less stressful than traditional gift buying). Matt picked out the new Mortal Kombat for the Gamecube, as well as Super Monkey Ball (god, that is a cute game! and sponsored by Dole bananas too...). He also picked out Wendy Froud's "Midsummer Night" book (yeah, we have similar tastes in art, eh?). We went to Olive Garden - I had the Ravioli di Portabello and Matt had the Eggplant Parmesan. We tried their new bruschetta and it was awesome. I picked out some more presents - a photo book of Ancient Forests, a Tinkerbell sparkly black T-shirt, some Animal Crossing e-reader cards, the Spectrum 7 fantasy art book, and the latest Juxtapoz. Matt had received a pouch of casino tokens for a Christmas present from my dad so we went to the casino. I picked out some casino tokens as part of my xmas gift from Matt, so I got to play too. I played video poker and won about $25 - not bad.

I made an appointment to get Azrael neutered next Monday morning. Quan-Yin's already been fixed, and they're both indoor cats, but we want to get him neutered anyways. Neutered pets live longer (since they have less stress), and our new apartment complex only allows neutered cats, so we thought we'd go ahead and get that taken care of. Besides, he suddenly seems to be interested in "marking his territory" which really makes me want to pay somebody to cut his balls off, lol.
