My word....... [Dec. 21st, 2004|01:13 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
I have so much work to do! It never stops! Ever!

Actually, it will stop quite soon when I leave for my Christmas holiday, lol. But that's not until Friday, so until then.....work work work!

Let me see - I am doing some quick touchups on a commissioned portrait first, and then re-scan and send to the customer - shouldn't take too long. Then - TONS of canvas prints need making to fill some last minute orders! (Would you believe I've got FIVE canvas prints of Ophelia Immortal sold already? And I haven't even put it in my eBay store already, hehehe....). While I'm at it I might make a new first edition canvas print or two of some other paintings to put up for auction for while I'm on holiday. We'll see.

I think we've got all of the other "must arrive before Christmas" orders out though, which is a tremendous weight off of my back!

After I finish up the commission and the canvas prints I'll be starting on a new original. Not sure which piece I will start - I've been thinking about doing a "Lady of Shalott" painting (still on the pre-raphaelites kick, hehe), but I might wait until after the holiday to do that one (I'd want it to be a large detailed piece that I could spend time on without hurry). I want to do some more fairy-queen type pieces, maybe Queen Mab or the Queen of Air and Darkness...... hmmmmm.....

Anyways, off to work!!!

Thats great that your Ophelia Immortal print has been selling so well, its no surprise though, she's so lovely!

The new ideas for some originals sound fabulous, Lady of Shalott is amazing, we used to study lots of stories behind the paintings of pre-raphalites at school and figure out what was going on in the painting and feelings etc, Lady of Shalott is one of my fav's!

Ophelia Immortal is gorgeous. I keep looking at it still and like it more and more.

I'd love to see Queen Mab.

Wow! 5 already, eh? That is quite a bit!! Congrats! Ophelia is one of your best pieces, in my opinion. I'm glad to hear she's selling so well. =)

And it's good to hear that you'll get a bit of a break after all this. I hope all goes well with your holiday, and congrats on getting so much accomplished lately! I tell you, Jasmine, I don't know how you keep it all together! LOL

commission piece

The commission piece Jasmine was working on was ours of our three daughters, and we love it. What a fantastic Artist, her paintings are second to none, and our commission work is absolutely beautiful. Thank you very much Jasmine. The Jones Family. England.

Hey, Jasmine...
Here's a website if you're looking for Arthurian women to base some paintings off of...
I like Isolde of the White Hands. Always have, don't know why.
And don't forget Nimue! ^_^
Can't wait to see your next work. Congrats on the Hamadryad sale. That rocks.

Aeeii! A lady OF Shalott! How grand!
I always used to try and paint her as a child, but alas my skill was far too behind...
Maybe I should try now :) Can't wait to see her - Ophelia was real amazin!
