Good evening, all [Dec. 11th, 2004|05:05 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
A busy day as always, we got a huge shipment out this morning - whew!

Let me see - I've been working some more on a commission, and I've done a little work on a big new painting (not quite as big as the last one, but still pretty darned big) of a hamadryad (a tree nymph). I've only really got a stick figure drawn in so far (no pun intended), lol, but I think it will turn out to be a lovely scene. I just got a Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab "Imp's Ear" (perfume sample) of their "Hamadryad" scent, and I'm wearing it today, so I'm sure that's the inspiration there, lol.

I just listed some of my newest paintings up on eBay as SALE prints!!! Even though some of the originals haven't sold yet, I thought I'd go ahead and list them since I know some people are wanting to order them in time for Christmas. The 8x10s are on sale for $10 and the 12x16s are on sale for $20 - "Ophelia Immortal", "Below Zero", and "Shimmering Mermaid" are this week's prints - you can see them all in my SALE section of my eBay store:

Jasmine's SALE Prints!

I'll be working on the new painting on and off - it's pretty big again, so I'll try to move the camera from time to time if you'd like to watch me HERE.

Man, they sure do! I've only recently discovered them and bought a bunch of "imp lots" off of eBay to figure out which ones I want to order - so far they are all so good!

Your "Ophelia Immortal" painting is doing really well. I often look at some of these auction and wonder.. * Who are these people that are ready to shell out 600 dollars* Lol.. You know why aren’t they at my auctions, lol.. Anyway are you offering that feature where people can pay monthly until it’s paid off and then they get the painting?

Just wondering how that works.

Do you mean the Paypal installment plan? Basically Paypal gives a line of credit to the bidder, kind of like a credit card, and Paypal immediately sends the full payment to the seller and then the bidder pays installments to Paypal.

here you go: http://pages.ebay.com/paypal/buyercredit/buyer/promotion/

eBay automatically adds it as an option for auctions over $199.

I myself also let people pay privately (also for commissions, etc.) with installments if they're a good customer or have good standing - http://www.strangeling.com/installments.html

Believe it or not, in a lot of "circles", art under $1000 could be considered a bargain - just check an actual art gallery.

Yey! Ophelia is up for sale! I am glad you posted that link to that fragrance shop. I am forever trying to find the perfect scent & most dept. stores ones are to strong or just not right. I will have to order some samples soon too. Which are your faves?

Thank you, Natasha!!!!

Just add shipping on once (if eBay/paypal tries to add it on three times, just modify the total on the "discount" line). Of just wait until you hear back from us - Matt or I will send you the "Congratulations, here's how to pay" email within 24 hours =)

Lynn

If I buy something from Ebay and something from your web page do I need to pay seperate shipping for those? Or can you combine the shipping charge between sites?

Re: Lynn

Hello Lynn!!!

I am more than happy to always combine to save on shipping!

However - if you are purchasing from the website and on eBay, the website automatically adds on the shipping, so do that first, and then when you pay for the eBay items, don't add any shipping costs. Or if you'd really like to avoid potential confusion, just email me at JasmineToad@aol.com with "ORDER" as the subject line, and then just list all of the items (and sizes and quantity of prints if applicable) in the email. I can then send you an invoice with the correct total and you won't need to worry about the website or eBay adding charges =)

Hey Alex! I will set you aside one of each - I've sold a few of the Voodoos and one of the Ophelias - is there any specific number in the edition you'd like to reserve?

hi, jasmine-
i'm kind of new here... so i don't know if you ever do this or not, but have you ever considered offering posters of some of your paintings? i would LOOOVE to have an actual-sized ophelia print, as i'm sure would every one of the ppl who posted about her.. ;)

Hi there! Welcome to my Journal!

Right now I only offer fine art prints (in 8x10, 11x14, and 12x16), which are like a very high quality poster on a photographic paper. My printer only goes up to 13x19, so I can't really offer anything larger than that right now.

I have been thinking about outsourcing some of my images to make BIG (like 24x30, full sized as Ophelia) poster-sized prints though, so if I do I will certainly post up here!

Hey Jas!

I can't see you on the cam...oh well...
Anyways I wanted to say that I dunno when I'll be back on here. My PC is being screwy lately...it will come on but all it shows is a blank screen...so yeah. Just thought that I'd tell you.

-hugs-
Lita

(Merry Christmas if I'm not here for it ;P)

Hi Lita! Hehe, you probably couldn't see me since this entry was from December 11th, lol. If I have the light off on my desk it will usually go dark - sometimes I don't like having the light on my painting desk when I'm trying to watch a movie or read a book since it's very bright and shines across the room.
