When I saw multiple characters and a fire, I felt sure you were painting The Little Match Seller. This one is ultra gorgeous tho!
Hmmm. When I had to drive 204 miles (round-trip) to work, I often had to snap myself out of that pesky "highway hypnosis" trance. You get painter hypnosis then! Hehe. ^_^
HOW DO YOU SPELL B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! WOW! THIS PAINTING IS BEAUTIFUL. ( I LOVE THE ONE THAT HAS A SMILE! ) :-)
It's such a sweet little scene -- my 8 year old daughter is entranced with it!
Lovely Jasmine. Truly lovely.
OMG!!! This one is so cute!! The sisters, you really captured that look of youth about them, especially the two younger ones. I love their little home. It's so pretty . . . the wood, the stone fireplace, the trees with all the lights. You did a wonderful job, Jasmine!
I think it's really neat that you notice things afterward that you don't remember intentionally painting. =) hehe Must be more fun that way, like you said. I think that sometimes amazing things can come from immersing yourself fully in the process, just like you said your hands painted without your brain really thinking about it. It's as if you "felt out" the painting. ^_^
QUICK QUESTION. IS THERE A PROGRAM TO LEARN LIGHT SOURCE- AS TO WHERE HIGH LITES GO.... I AM DRAWING A TEDDY BEAR RIGHT NOW AND I CANT FIGURE OUT WHERE THE HIGH LITES WOULD GO.
FORGOT TO TELL YOU- WHEN YOU LIGHTED THAT THING (INCENSE) I THOUGHT THAT IT SHOWED YOU WHERE YOUR LIGHT (HIGH LITES ) WENT. BOY I MUST HAVE HAD TURKEY FUMES IN MY BRAIN! HEHEHEHE
Hehehe - I WISH!!! Ah, but unfortunately - I don't think there is such a device yet - that would be pretty cool!!! Just imagination I guess, lol. And incense only makes things smell nice, hehe.
I just try to think of what direction the light source is coming from - for example in the painting I just posted - a yellowish light comes off of the fire, so things facing the fire have warm highlights, but the light coming from the window is a cold winter night so things facing the window has blue highlights - does that make sense?
YES IT MAKES SENSE. IM STILL GOING TO TRY TO USE THE INCENSE...LOL I WILL PROBABLY LIGHT THE HOUSE ON FIRE.... BOY WOULD THAT GIVE MY NEIGHBORS A LOT OF LIGHT!!! THANK FOR EVERYTHING!
Aw, this painting is so cozy and has got me even MORE excited for Christmas (if that was possible, lol!)
OH, WOW, JASMINE!!!!!!
I just love everything about this painting! I love how the lights really shine... and the pointy little stockings... and the fairy wings that glows so bright! And the little sisters are sooo adorable!!!
I REALLY LOVE THIS ONE! it gives me such a warm fuzzy feeling :) all the little twinkle lights, its all so enchanting!
Jasmine, Beautiful as usual. They are soooo adorable. Reminds me of my 3 little fairies ;). The details are amazing. I LOVE the pointy striped stockings!!! They look sooo innocent. Can't say enough about this piece. Are you gonna post this on the Seasons Greetings sticky at EA? Are you gonna join the christmas card/prezzy exchange there too? (the thread is in the professional art zone)
ohhh how cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
since my husband was poor when he was little, he said that tree with the lights looks like his for christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Jasmine, this is absolutely gorgeous! After a while of looking at it, I finally realised.. it looks like my sisters and I! I am the little one, the middle one is my sister Wendy, and the big one is my sister Heather! I think I might have to buy a print of this, I think it's adorable! And the pudding looks so nice! *g* Ahhh, I love it! :D
Wow, this is awesome! As soon as I get my new job and get money, I'll order a picture from you <3
You are such a great artist, I love your work!! Thanks for painting :D
wowwww :) so cute!!
It's awesome! I like the idea of a broken Christmas ornament used for a tree stand, and the detail is wonderful!
omg that is STUNNING Jas!!! SOOOOO cute and totally captures the true spirit of the Holidays!!! I LOVE it so much!! You should be SOOOOO proud!
This one is very pretty, it looks like an illustration out of a cute Christmas book. The fairies are me, amber and you right? That's what they look like! I like it when you do holiday pictures, they always turn out so nice.
Thank you, Kachina! I think that it IS us, lol! Matt pointed it out to me, actually - I saw the middle sister had green eyes and blonde hair like yours, and the little sister had blue eyes and darker hair like Amber, and then the big sister has black hair and black eyes (which I guess could be like me with my hair dyed and my funny contacts). I wasn't thinking about it at the time, but it seems really obvious now! And there was a time when I was a lot taller than both of you too, hehe.
aw! this painting is soo adorable! the little stockings hanging on the the fireplace going from large to tiny~and then the expressions you gave the little sisters! they're so darn cute! makes me want to pinch their little cheeks! i also like the tank top strap hanging off the shoulder of the little blue-eyed sister! HAHA! great painting as usual jasmine!!
That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO great! I love it! I love the little fairies looks! So sweet!! And I love that the Christmas tree is sitting inside a broken bulb, it shows scales really well! :)
Adorable!! It is fantastic.. I love all the detail!!
Like I said when I was watching you piant it...it makes me feel like I'm in a warm place...warmer than here anyways...lol
your artwork is AMAZING!
I love it!
I was doing some journal jumping from my friends to their friends and so on when I came across your icon which I adore, so I had to check out your journal. WOW, I love fairies and you do such a beautiful job.
I'd love for you to add me to your friends list so I can see your new work as you post it.
AGAIN, I don't mean to gush, but your fairies are beautiful.
Thank you so very much!!! >^___^
That gives me a happy warm feeling!
Oh wow, its lovely! So pretty! I love the way the tree sparkles and that the tree decoration is the pot for the tree! Good idea!
Its so lovely!
