I'm feeling a lot better today! Thank you all for your get-well wishes and suggestions =)|
I've been painting like crazy today, as usual. No matter what I do, I can't stop painting it seems, lol. I finished up a commission and did some preparations for yet another. I'm going to start on a new painting in a few minutes on my webcam - not quite sure what it will be yet - but you are all welcome to peek in on me HERE as always =)
Glad that you are better! I wish I could be like you and paint right now...I'm working on two and I need red, blue, light peach, and black. Mom is getting some later today when she goes to Florence. ^_^ Have fun and get all the way better!
Lol! You'll have to have your paintbrushes confiscated so you can have a break!
good to see you are feeling better and back to work.
thank you very much, it's a picture of my dog, Balto, in the garden with a fuschia flower on his head.
Thank you Robyn! Balto looks so lovely in that icon!
Hehe, actually I don't think I stopped working for even an hour all week other than to sleep! It's been commission-city here. I don't really consider painting to be working though, since it's very enjoyable and kind of relaxing though.
Yes Balto is a handsome Wolfdoggie, that's for sure. And spoiled too, but I don't mind ;-).
Working to me can be enjoyable, and have a positive connotation, especially when you enjoy your work, for me painting is work, but work with the connotation of being productive and moving forward along your intended path. Not work in the western-corporate connotation, etc., but more in the classical sense. "life's work", "artistic work", etc. I do think of painting as work in that sense, but then again, in studio we still call a painting by the old style word, "picture." A League-ism, probably from the days before photography and they never dropped the word in all the years after LOL. Like "that is a good picture", when speaking of a painting. And of course, you can always be "working on a picture" which is difficult to do when feeling poorly. Glad you are feeling better now in any case :-).
Hey Jas :)
Have been watching for a bit. :) Think I saw you doing the hairdryer thing there. Love watching the paintins take shape though am sometimes tempted to turn my monitor on its side to save my poor neck, as I always (bizarrely!) feel the need to try to look at it the right way up, hehe! Just one of my strange quirks! ;)
Love how it is turning out! Oh and I think i owe you an email, will try to get that away at the weekend.

Hiya Jasmine. You are sooo obsessively driven ;) I wouldn't even THINK of painting if I felt so yucky. Can't wait to see any new works. Glad you're feeling better now = )
