Good morning!!! [Nov. 7th, 2004|10:13 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Blah, still sick, but feeling a little better again, which is good =) I've never lost my voice for this long before - I keep worrying that I'll get an important phone call or something, lol.

Last night we went to Spoodles up at the Boardwalk - man, I love that restaurant! Every time I go there I just ask the chef to prepare a platter of vegetarian selections and it's different every time, and always delicious. This time they brought me whipped hummus with roasted asparagus, vegetarian ratatouille, three kinds of flatbreads, a mediterranean salad, and a bunch of other stuff. Yum!

Now they're off at the Animal Kingdom and MGM Studios today, while I work, hehe. I got some preliminaries for a commission finished, and now I'm working on the autumn fairy I started yesterday - I'm almost finished with her, I'll probably start a new piece later on too - you can watch my progress HERE!

The food sounds really great. I never know how to prepare asparagus. Roasted huh? I wish Dutch resturants were inventive as that.

I am watching the cam tonight :-) So you better do something exciting :-) LOL

Mozilla Firefox

Due to repeated issues with Internet Explorer I am now running Mozilla Firefox ~ the sad part of this change is that I can no longer watch your painting cam =( *so unfair

*the website still functions as it should and all the image files are visable =)

Re: Mozilla Firefox

Awww!!! Man, I wish IE wasn't so buggy!!! Either that, or I wish I could find a good webcam host that would work on different platforms =( It doesn't work for my Mac fans either! I will definitely let you know if I ever figure something out!

Thank you, Robyn! I'm feeling a little better today, but it just seems to keep lingering.....

Ooooh!!!! I got your "new york icons" show card in the mail today! It is fabulous! I showed it off to my sister, hehe - bragging about my NYC art friend!!! ;)

the health food store is good for more than just yummy veggie food, try to pick up some good quality echinecea tea and green tea when you are there, the cold will not linger quite so long.

I'm glad the postcard got to you, I've been holding on to many of my fave paintings for so long, plus there are many new ones, they finally are going to get to go out into the world together, much sooner than I expected ;-). The postcards were printed by Modern Postcard, and they did an amazing job on the production, although their instructions / requirements are quite dense, stringent and sorta difficult, the results were more than worth it and they were really not very expensive for the quality they are.

I also loved the postage stamp of Wilma Randalph, who was an athlete, it matched the design and the concept and she is almost another "lady" on the card with the other ladies. It made me happy that I had a stamp that matched, which might be silly, but there it is.

You are a very talented painter, Jasmine. Every once in a while I check in on your webcam, it's very inspiring ... and your work schedule is inspiring as well. ;-).
