Happy Tuesday! [Nov. 2nd, 2004|12:27 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
We just came back from voting (if you haven't yet, hop to it! It's fun! Really!). Only took a couple of minutes, simple "fill in the circles" sheets, everybody was very friendly, and it was right across the street, hehe.

We went to the post office and got all of that stuff done. Today is the one day we have "alone" before more houseguests arrive tomorrow, lol!

Oooooh!!!!! I got some NEW stickers in the mail!!! They are the best ones yet! I'll have them up for sale very soon - right now I just have my "artist's samples", but I'll scan them in later - they are "Blue Ribbon Fairy", "Captive Fairy", and "Starry Night Fairy" - a little different than last time too, in that they are "cutout" of the backgrounds, and the stickers follow the shapes of the figures - hard to describe, but very very cool!!!!!

I'm getting ready to paint right now - I'm finishing up the new Alchemist piece - you can watch me HERE!

I have a mask like that in the painting. I had to make something for art school once that represented myself and also covered myself up at the same time. Not very creative haha.
In the time of the plague (??) the docters wore masks like that stuffed with herbs to not get sick. I think they use to have picture of them on the old Belguin paper money. I always thought it was pretty creepy.

I'm going to vote in a couple of hours - waiting for the lunch-rush to die down. ^_^

I believe that's called "die-cut". ^_^ So I'd say they're die-cut to the shape of the figure.

Voted twice!!!

Well just got back from voting. Glad its done. I thought that there would be a lot more people. Maybe I just beat the traffic.
I also voted on "Dia de los Muertos" show. I love your piece Jasmine. So much color and warmth.
Hugs,

Speaking of Stickers

Dear Jasmine:

Hubby and I took some days off and went to Daytona, it was nice and the ocean was gorgeous! Anyhows.. here we are wandering these tourist traps when lo and behold.... Jasmine Stickers were in the Display... of course it was the Silvery Mermaid in a Surf Shop.. but still I pointed out to my husband and commented I would share it with you!

Love to see the new stickers!!!

Re: Speaking of Stickers

Aaahhh!!! That is awesome!!!!! I love hearing about where people see my artwork!

Ha! One of my fans sent me a photo of their surfboard with my Silvery Mermaid on it! I guess she just naturally goes with the beach stuff, hehe!!!
