We took Matt's mom back to the airport this morning - we had a lot of fun with her visiting here =)|
We have one day now, lol, and then more relatives will be down on Wednesday!
I've got a lot of stuff to catch up on - I'll probably be painting though later today (feel free to peek in on me off and on HERE).
The "Dia de los Muertos" show is ready up at EBSQ!!!!! There are about 150 entries - a truly impressive turnout!!
The show can be seen here:
There are SIX pages to scroll through total (click on the thumbnails to enlarge)!
My entry can be seen here:
To vote (for members only of course) just click the "vote" button at the top! Be sure to look at all of them though, there are a lot of great artists in this one!
I'm going to go catch up on some things and then I'll probably be painting on the new Alchemist piece!!!!
have fun at the hotel strangeling. looks like florida might be starting to edge to kerry now....it is getting crazy close there...
We'll definitely make sure to go vote tomorrow! It's very handy, the place we go to is right across the street!
All the entries look great, but I have to say that yours really jumped out with all those brilliant colors!!!
I really like this painting, Jasmine. Brava ;-).
Really great show!!! I voted first thing this morning! ;)
wow...there are alot of talented artists out there, but in my opinion you are by far one of the best! good luck with the contest....i meant to ask you....is there a paint that has a glittery-like look to it?....cause i was thinking, you know the pink butterly and black painting you painted recently? it would have been so pretty with a glittery type paint for the wings....just curious, don't know much about different types of paint... :) ~patty~
Oh yes! There are a lot of acrylic paints at the craft store that have glitter, metallic elements, and iridescence to them - they really do look like a lot of fun! I can't really use them most of the time, unfortunately, since a scanner will reflect light back at any "shiny" surface, making it just show up as white on the actual scan (and since I depend on a high quality scan to create my prints, and for publishing or licensing, I can't really play with that too much!). In person though, it can give a very nice effect!
yeah that's right i forgot about your copying and all...i guess it would only work good for the originals..thanks for answering back! :) ~patty~
Pity I cant vote. On the other hand, there are so many gorgeous pieces, I cant pick a favorite! ^_^
I wish I can vote...
Your entry is definitely one of the BEST! :)
YAY! I saw yours, Alex's, and Michelle's!! COOL STUFF!!! Thanks for posting the link to that, I was wondering when those would be up!
So many relatives lol!
Just off to have a look at the show!
