Happy Halloween! I cannot imagine standing in line to get candy! LOL I lived in the middle of nowhere as a kid, so we had to drive to the nearest town to trick or treat! LOL It's raining here, so I'm sure it's pretty quiet except for the diehards! LOL
Wow, that sounds like so much fun where you live. Here they have so many rules that it isn't fun like it use to be. Plus the Churches here had a fit that Halloween was falling on Sunday and discouraged a lot of Trick or Treating. :(
Glad you had such a fun time!!!!
That's hilarious - the church here in town has actually been having a pumpkin sale just for Halloween - I thought that was pretty cool of them!
How cool of them!! :) The next town over ended up changing the night for Trick or Treaters to Saturday. How silly. One church had a Trunk & Treat. They had cars in the parking lot with their trunks open and candy in the trunks for the kids????? They said it was safer than children being on the streets. At least they did celebrate. :)
that is actually a really cute idea. i always liked going house to house but the trunk idea is cute for a church thing...plus they usually have all sorts of events and games for kids to play.
Yeah, the more I think about it.. the churches here are getting pretty creative with Halloween. The Malls also provide a safe Trick or Treating experience for kids. All the stores participate and give out candies and trinkets to the little ones in costumes.
I miss the hordes of cute kiddies invading our street in search of treats and showing off their adorable and sometimes scary costumes. :)
H A P P Y H A L L O W E E N ! ! !
That sounds like soo much fun!!! You should have been taking lots of pictures as you walked around! Once again, sooo jealous that I don't live ther, lol!!
We have a fire pit in our back yard. I love it!
YAY!! I'm so glad you're having fun. That's awesome that Halloween is so big there. =D
The fire pit sounds wicked cool!
We took Theodore trick-or-treating around Daddy's neighborhood (me, Heather, Rachel and Amber). He took his hat off and wouldn't hold his pumpkin bag but still looked really cute. It was sprinkling most of the time. There were a ton of trick-or-treaters out! We ran out of candy at Daddy's house. They say last year they didn't get a single trick-or-treater but this year there were so many. Chris was dressed up in this scary skeleton costume and he enjoyed opening the door and frightening trick-or-treaters. I think he said three kids ran away screaming when they saw him.
oh man that is so mean. i was the little girl that had my first halloween cut short because some guy scared the crap out of me. i think it is cool and all but you kind of have to watch out for the little one-trauma like that is not soon forgotten.
LOL! That is cool!! I talked to daddy last night and he said he would take pictures and send them to me!!!!!!!
Sounds like fun! I bought over 25 lbs. of chocolate candies and hardly ANY trick-or-treaters came!! :(
At 8 this evening, the temperature was still in the 90s here. I cant imagine lighting a fire pit. Eek! You brave thing!
It sounds like so much fun that your town really goes all out for the holidays!!! I wish every place would.
Kewl!! I wish there were that many treak or treaters here, this year it was in the high 60's the wind was blowing kind of hard but I think cuz the weather was so nice it brought a lot of people out..They had our night on Saturday night, I think cuz of Halloween falling on Sunday..
Thank you!:) I'm sure Theo says thanks too. He looked so cute the other night, trying to figure out how to open his presents and taking things out of the bag. Cutie.
Hope it wasn't drizzling where you guys are!:)
Just wanted to drop a note and say how much I enjoyed meeting you and M at foxmagic
's house last night. :-)
Yep, Celebration was crazy! We had a great time though.
Oh! And you as well! >^__^
Wheee! Yeah, it was a tad crazy. I swung through town after I got off work at 8 just to see what kind of cool decorations people had up. Ohhh, fire pit??? Sounds lovely! I'm on my way over! ;)
Some houses did really cool stuff - one a few blocks from us was all pirate-y - with cannons that shot out smoke and everything - very cool!!!
So many trick or treaters lol! Well last night we had 3 trick or treaters lol! I live in a street with a dead end thats pretty quiet, plus the area I live in has a lot of elderly people who don't like opening their doors at night so generally the kids go to the next town to trick or treat!
Have a great night!
We only got a few kids here in Phoenix and some adults and teenagers it was very quite and we have candy left. Wow never knew halloween was so big in Florida. Sharon
hi jasmine! wow! sounds like you guys had alot of fun in celebration.....the town's name is so fitting! :) we had so much fun at the motocross track for halloween...there were guys out racing with costumes on, it was hilarious!! only one guy was airlifted and he is in stable condition...overall everything went well and this halloween is one to remember!! take care ~patty~
Do you actually participate? Or do you just watch? That stuff looks so dangerous!
jasmine i have a dirt bike and a ATV, but i don't participate in the races, my boyfriend does....he's pretty good, he used to be a pro who just got back into it again about 3 yrs. ago~~there are some pros that are out of this world and it does take alot of nerve to do what they do, you just wouldn't believe how fast and how high they jump!! there is definitely no room for fear in this sport, you just got to go for it to be really good :)....there are also girls who ride, who are just awesome!! they ride just as good and as fast as the guys do!! i hear that florida and california have some of best tracks in the nation... :)
>changing subject (sniff sniff)..i really wish i could see you painting on your webcam here at work!! :( ~patty~
