a date of sorts [Dec. 30th, 2002|01:45 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith

we went to FINALLY go see The Two Towers. we got to the theatre which was crawling with obnoxious kids (grrr... damned teenagers up to no good grumble grumble). there were lots of them driving around insanely fast in the parking lot in stupid ghetto-fied cars with the stupid blue lights with their stupid distorted bass stereos and their stupid ground effects. i was already regretting ever venturing outside. then, when we got to the box office we find that The Two Towers is SOLD OUT (at 10:00pm on a Sunday night?). so, we narrowly avoided getting hit again in the parking lot by the same morons, and we drove to Blockbuster. we didn't see any movies we really wanted, so we rented "Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters" for our GameCube. we came home and played against each other in Versus mode and ate some veggie burgers (those new Boca Cheeseburgers with the built-in cheese). so, i still haven't seen The Two Towers yet - but at least I got to smash up Osaka with King Ghidorah....

Jesus, all that for a movie?

Damn, that must have sucked. I would throw rocks at that kid's car.

Re: Jesus, all that for a movie?

I know... I must say it was very tempting. There were a bunch of guys with the same sort of tricked-out cars doing the same thing - I assume they were all together. It made me especially mad because there were some little kids (like 5 year olds) walking in the parking lot with their parents - and people were still driving around like maniacs =(
