Let me see - I finished some new canvas prints yesterday - I'll have the first editions up tonight! I also worked on some more of my existing editions - they've been selling like hotcakes lately >^___^<
I bought the "Watercolour Faeries" book - Meredith uminomamori now has autographed copies on her website HERE - it looks like an awesome book, I can't wait to see it - a lot of my friends are in it too, hehe!! (It's also an instructional book, for those of you budding artists looking for help & inspiration!).
Let me see - I went to the Post Office this morning - it kind of hit me - I won't have to do that myself any more! With kaokame working for me full time (as of this Friday!), he will of course be doing that kind of thing for me. I might go with him myself sometimes, but it was kind of a
strange thought to think I won't be doing that kind of thing alone any more.
I've been working on a very bright coloured new painting - you can watch me HERE! I'm almost finished with her - I might start another piece afterwards - I'll see what time allows.
Off to work!
yes, her book looks beautiful! just order a copt too :)
you are so lucky to have "kaokame" to do your PO run! my husband cringes when we even go near the post office! LOL
I like her. It still seems strange to think that when I see an arm in on that little screen, it's actually you. Maybe cos I'm so far away too :)
If going to the post office is a hassle, you can pay postage over the internet and make arrangements to have packages picked up. I use that option now that I can't go to the PO as often because of working overtime. However, I do miss the panicked look on peoples faces when they see my 50+ packages sitting on the counter. ^_^
That looks like a good book! As it happens I've been posting in a couple of communities asking if anyone knows any books with lots of pictures of fairies for research, learning more about them and how to create them would be handy too!
Definately some awesome artists in that book to learn from!!!!
The book looks great!
I am watching the cam now, and I have to say it looks so pretty and bright now. She doesnt have the darker shadows yet I guess. She looks very pretty, like an angel or something.
Thank you, Lindy! She is a much lighter, brighter painting than usual - I bought some new purple paints and wanted to try something very bright and contrasty with them - I've finished her (I'll scan her in tonight) and I really like how she turned out!
Ooh thanks for reminding me!!!! *runs off to buy a copy before they are all gone*
I'm thinking about getting that book.. I'm more interested in learning acrylic right now, since watercolor has always seemed like a scary thing to learn, lol! But usually I find myself loving watercolor paintings. But I'm sure the book is worth it enough for the pictures in it alone!
It would probably make a nice break from your painting during the day to take a walk with Matt to the post office every once in a while. Sounds like fun!
Your new painting is looking very bright and lovely! I love purple with green.
ooh, i almost bought that book on amazon but i though it would be better to buy from one of the artists in it :)
i bet that will be so nice not to have to go to the post office anymore, unless you want to. poor matt though, now he gets to be glared at by the people in line, he, he :)
Thanks for the info on Meredith's new fairy book--I just ordered a copy!
Missed watching you paint the fairy, but I'm looking forward to seeing it when you post it! :-)
