Glad to hear it sounds like you are safe. I am still in Vegas and the winds are incredible! Wind in the desert is never a good thing, thank goodness for sunglasses. You new product is great!
I've still never been to Vegas! My dad & stepmom seem to go out there once a month, lol - I feel like I'm missing out. I like staying up late, drinking, going to restaurants, gambling, etc. - it sounds like I'd enjoy it....
I say artist guest appearance at a trade show and then it is a write off! I know the place all too well, getting too old to stay out late. I have so many great friends, we stay out far too late.
"artist guest appearance at a trade show " - that sounds like a plan, lol!!!
They have some good fantasy/scifi conventions out there too sometimes, I could probably work that into a "business trip", hehe......
you better tell me if you ever go to vegas so i can come hang out, you know seeing as i dont live to far away :) we'll get loaded and take a dip in the canal at the venetian, hee, hee....
Oh hell yeah!!! That sounds like too much fun!!!!!!
AaaaHhhhhhh! hang on and stay safe!
LOVE the new light switch plates ~ they kick ass!
Heh. I just posted a get-out-while-you-still-can message. Leaving is something everyone tells you, but is something no one wants to do. I'm rather pleased that I'm moving. My apartment is the closest on our island to the ocean. Last year a hurricane barely missed us, but the other bands of the storm caused the waves to go over the entire island!!! That was really all the warning I needed. I'm not taking anymore chances. O_o
The custom painting is such a neat idea! I **love** the fairy on the bottom left corner of the examples. Orange and blue/torquise is my favorite colour combo!
The lightswitch plates are pretty cool! I had already seen them in some online shops, mostly the Chesire Cat though. I wondered when you'd be selling them! Very cool!!
You ppl's gotsta b careful!!!! O! And Mom says that she's missing Apliance Direct!! ;-)
Hehe.... we're going to send a tape up back to Missouri with Kachina - she's coming to visit next week ;)
Staying at home is your best choice so yeah good thing you're staying there.. People trying to evacuate now will find themselves on the road in their cars during the intense storm.... in a car... surrounded with GLASS..
Crikey, Florida sure is taking a beating this hurricane season .... Take cover and good luck!
omg the Alice and the Cheshire Cat light cover is so sweet !
It would look great in zoe's room, I must have one .....but I will wait until the hurricane is over , I want to make sure are house is still standing first:p
Just hope you have some left .
your stuff is so cute! my husband and i are on the coast, and they expect the storm to hit us hard this time (although, the last time they said that, it missed us completely)- but if they're right, there might be one less artist competitor out there! haha- not that i'm much competition for you anyway, mostly what i do is dollmaking :)
hope you stay safe through this one!
Thank you Orianna!!! You guys be careful!
ooh, awesome new products!! i cant wait for tees and tanks =) hee, hee! stupid hurricane! i wish it would just turn around and go away :P i hope it at least dies out SOME before it hits :/
Take care, stay safe n play FFXI till it's safe to come out n play again :)

Someone on my friend's list posted the Frances is much worse than Charley and two people on my friends list from Orlando are evacuating, so I'm really worried about you guys!! Please stay safe and make sure to let me know you are alive!!
So far so good! Frances looks like she won't be quite as strong as Charley, but will be much larger and will therefore hang around longer. They keep saying on the news NOT to evacuate in our area, hehe. Orlando is actually playing host to a lot of the people from the areas that are under evacuation. I'll keep you updated for sure!!

Jasmine-you guys be careful!!!! Don't get run over by crazy people at the supermarket! (oh, and watch out for the wind too:)
I hope the hurricane isn't too bad! That's pretty good that all your electrical stuff etc is all underground, that's what it's like where I live even though we don't get hurricanes or anything like that!
That's a great idea doing a 'custom' painting so the buyer can decide a few things for themselves, I don't think I new about your website when you did the other custom paintings as I had never heard of the idea before!
Wow! I want a lightswitch plate! I might just have to buy one.....
Oh yes - every once in a while I put an "unfinished" piece up on eBay!
I do a lot of custom commissions too (like portraits and stuff) - my pricelist/policies are here: http://www.strangeling.com/commissions.html
Since not everybody can afford that though, I like to stick an occasional little "customized" fairy up at eBay starting at a penny to give everybody a chance =)
I bought two lightswitch plates of you know who!!!!;o)
I've been meaning to ask, the original painting I purchased from you a while ago "Lily Pad Mermaid" I haven't seen prints of it, just curious why not? Do you not make prints of all your paintings?
Hehe!!! I thought you might!!! I'm going through the orders right now (if I can stay away from LiveJournal that is, LOL!).
Oh! I remember her - she was a cutie!!!! Ah yes, unfortunately I paint so many paintings and have built up so many past paintings over the years I can't keep all of them actively showcased on my website (it would be a bit crazy to keep up with!). I keep the most popular ones from previous years, and then mostly I put my newer stuff there.
However - I never "retire" my open edition prints - I do keep high-res files of each and every painting so I can always sell prints if people ask me for a specific one! I've sold a few of the "Lilypad Mermaid" on a request-by-request basis. Just about any of my paintings (past or present) are available as prints upon request =)
Jasmine, I hope all goes well for you guys out there, hopefully you won't get it too bad where you are at...
