Yay!!! I got my commission back from the framer's FINALLY!!!
Jasmine, thanks again, you're sooo talented:)
Hi Deanna!!! Thank you! Oh!!! How cool!!! If you get a chance to snap a photo of it framed I'd love to see!!!
Wow! Cats and dogs seem to be the majority of pets. Only one bunny and two parrots!
I'm crossing my fingers very tightly that the storm goes out to sea. I remember the people they were showing from the last hurricane who were living in U-Haul. To lose everything you've worked your life away to get, it broke my heart.
I liked looking at all the EBSQ entries, they were all very good! Most people seemed to have dogs or cats, hehe, I can see what mine and my friend's entries would have been had we entered! It would be me painting her two kitties and her painting my two tortoises! :)
I will be crossing my fingers that Hurricane Frances doesn't hit land! I'm sure it won't, keep positive and it might not happen!
Fingers crossed! not another one and your still cleaning up down there arnt you! the pet swap pictures were really neat, I wish I could join ebsq, I would have liked to be apart of that. once more money comes in I guess
This is some kind of bad joke mother nature is playing on us , they said the eye might go though polk county AGAIN!!!I used to love hurricanes , but that was back when they only came once in a blue moon.
Another thing why give these Strom's such wimpy names?
Give them good names like:
Big pain ,to much rain :P
I live near downtown Orlando and just got cable and roadrunner back after being without for 9 days. I lost power for 3 days, and still have the curbed lined with bags of debris. PLEASE NOT AGAIN!!!!!!
Aaah!! You poor thing!! I REALLY REALLY hope Frances breaks up before making it this far. People haven't recovered from Charley yet for heaven's sakes.
I just heard about the hurricane on our news. They said it will likely go through the Orlando area this weekend! THat is so scary. I hope it isn't still there when we come down next week.
People are going nuts around here, hehe. The last hurricane here before Charley was Donna almost 50 years ago. It seems crazy that we'd have another one so quickly! Everybody has been fixing their trees and their roofs and all, it seems awful that another one would come so soon - I was under the impression that I wouldn't see another one until I was 70 years old.......
It should all be gone by the time you guys get here at any rate! The good thing about hurricanes is that they are pretty predictable and you get lots of notice. And when they leave, they're GONE. We went outside even about 20 minutes after Charley passed over us and it felt like any other night in Florida. This one will come in the morning on Saturday they say, if it continues its course. With Charley we tried to watch out the window (from a safe distance of course) but it was pitch black everywhere so I couldn't see anything. With this one it will be daylight - that will be so strange to see at least. I'll try to video tape it if I can!
Hopefully though it will just break up before it gets here, or change direction and go out in the middle of the ocean. We're going to go stock up on supplies though at any rate. (I can't help but think of the Hurricane episode of the Simpsons - with the "Hurricane Chow", hehe).
What's with these hurricanes?? I really hope it misses you guys or at least dies down a bit.
Those pet pictures were fun to look at!
Get everything you might need early!! Around here, just the mention of a hurricane empties the stores out in a short time. Of course, in Southeast VA we freak out over the mention of snow too! :)
Oh Jas thanks for sharing those pet pics. Im going to have to join EBSQ for all the fun. Although they were all great i must say i liked your kitties best! Hopefully this storm wont hit. Im wanting to move to Galveston and its home of one of the biggest storms ever in 1900 its a lil scary knowing that but i need to be nearer to water and in a bigggg house...lol
OH GOSH! I hope that hurricane stays FAAAAAAAR away!! My in-laws said they are moving stuff downstairs in their condo just to make sure it's safe incase the ROOF BLOWS OFF!! YIPES!! I really hope it just dimishes before it gets to land and is just a storm! **Fingers crossed**
Those pet paintings are all so great! That was SUCH a good idea that they did that! I'm sure everyone is really pleased with the final products. :)
Man, we just came back from SuperTarget to stock up on a few supplies, but everybody else in town seemed to have the same idea - it was PACKED! All of the bottled water was gone, so we bought a bunch of diet Cokes & wine coolers, hehehe....
OMG! Jasmine! It's a class 4 Hurricane over 140 mile an hour winds and they are predicting it will maintain or get stronger, it is supposed to cross Florida and tear up Georgia- the weatherman looked really freaked about it and we are in Chicago. My friends are supposed to go to Orlando in the morning-I haven't been able to get ahold of them I hope they changed their mind. I was freaking for them. Is there anybody you know who has a basement? You should really seek a serious shelter. Don't they have set up shelters available? You should take advantage of it if they do. The last one this big they said happened in the early 1990's. I really hope you guys are safe! ((Hugs)) ~Erin
We just went through Charley 3 weeks ago, and it mangled my neighborhood. This time we are boarding up our windows. This storm is twice as wide. Florida doesn't have basements due to the elevation level. You would hit water. Orlando doesn't have a mandatory evacuation. If they do it will be for trailer homes.
I am very scared! Everyone send us your positive energy! This is unbelievable!!!
Since your beautiful Mother Nature painting of "Fairy Queen Titania" was the most beautiful to me of yours of late... I splurged and bought a big print whilst they were on sale! :-D She is so very beautiful!!! I want to do more quilts like that - I like doing "characters" KWIM?
But wait to ship it - I need to look at stickers, too...
I'm keeping an eye on Frances as well... scary stuff! I bought a case of bottled water today... just in case... although we can use the pool water to flush the toilets with - LOL!!
Hi Wendy!!! Thank you so much!!!! I'll hang on to her as long as you need =)
