Good morning!!!!!! [Aug. 21st, 2004|09:17 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Matt's out back getting the Sea-Doos out of our garage! Unfortunately they're not ours, lol, they belong to Dr. Nelson - we just let him store them in our garage for awhile and now he's taking them back =P Matt was hoping that if we flooded during the hurricane we could have travelled by jetski, but to no avail.....

So.... yesterday we got a big order shipped out, etc. and then we decided that we weren't going to bother upgrading Matt's computer again so we could play Dark Age of Camlot (the computer is just too old, it's not worth it). So instead we thought we'd go buy a Playstation 2 and buy a couple of copies of Final Fantasy XI Online! That way I could play it on my newly-upgraded computer together with Matt on the PS2 (we kinda wanted a PS2 anyways so we could get Dance Dance Revolution, hehe). So we went out to several different stores, searching in vain for a PS2 before the guy at Best Buy leveled with us saying that there aren't any in town right now!?!? Why??? PS2s have been around a good long time, and everytime I've gone to Gamestop, EB Games, Best Buy, Target, Costco, etc. there have been stacks of them!!! But apparently there's some shortage going on, grrr......

So we're buying one online =P In the meantime, I bought the edition for my PC (I thought I'd better try it out first, before I sunk a bunch of money into the PS2, the PS2 modem, the PS2 game bundle ((it comes with its own 40 Gigabyte hard drive, lol)), etc.). It works great!!! I've never had a MMORPG run sooo smoothly on my system! It has the "cute" factor that I like too. Hurray! I played it for a few hours last night, and I already love it =) So we'll definitely go ahead and invest in the PS2 vertion for Matty to play with me =)

But of course, I can't let this interfere with my work at all, lol (I know it's an addictive game, but I have a lot of self control). In fact, I'm getting ready to paint!!!

I'm going to start on LEO!!! Leo of course is the next installment in my Zodiac series =) According to my research, the the colour associated with Leo is yellow, the flower for Leo is sunflower, and there seem to be several stones associated with Leo - tigereye, sapphire, jasper, etc. I'm not sure which one I will pick. I'll of course put the constellation of Leo in the back too!

I've got a few quick things to do first, and then I'll be painting and you can watch me HERE shortly!!!

I can't wait until you do capricorn! I bet you will make capricorn pretty, unlike every other capricorn image I see. It's hard to make a goatfish pretty, I know, but all of you art is so beautiful XD

I look around and see people with lions and twins and all sorts of lovely stuff, and then there is lonely capricorn, the goat with a fish butt. ::sigh::

I am sure you will do an awesome job ^__^

I can't wait to see your Leo painting, I'm going to buy a print for my little sister who is a leo. She may be six but she has excellent taste when it comes to art (very smart for her age) she loves your work, whenever she comes over she loves to look at the print I bought from you. She tried to steal the silver mermaid sticker I bought too!

Ah.....Leo.......me LOL.....

You can try Citrine. I found out that its the most "fitting" one... Ruby was too harsh, sapfire went better for Virgo, japser was too much Gemini and Tigereye was perfect Scorpio :)

Amber is also wonderful btw.... and we Leo's completely crazy about tourmaline too :)

She turned out LOVELY!!!

I was working with groups many years and big part of my work was crystal healing and semi-precious stones :) I still have people coming to me to "identify" the stones in the jewelry :) I am glad it helped!

There's DDR Max and DDR Max 2. I don't know too much about them. I don't think there's much of a difference, maybe just a bit more on the second one.

Re: ps2

Aha! Hehe, I thought about calling you actually! That would make sense. I couldn't believe how difficult it is to get one right now! We should have bought one a few months ago =P We ended up ordering one online. It cost an extra $15 for shipping, but it came with a free network adapter which we need for Matt to play online with me anyways, so that's cool.

FFXI really is a lot of fun! I'm just mad at it right now and don't like playing it. Make sure you don't get too far ahead of Matt with your level! It's better to party with people about the same level, especially later on. Otherwise it messes up the experience. Umm.. ok enough nerd talk, lol! Oh, and we haven't heard of anything going on with Sony. Hmm.. Our store is stocked!

Aw, I miss my DDR games so badly! Since moving into this tiny place temporarily, a lot of our stuff is in storage including ALL of our game collection except for like 5 systems (if you count Pico and don't count various gameboys, lol) and just a handful of games. :( I use to have two DDR mats hooked up to my big screen tv, but now I don't have any of it, including my tv :(( I miss it!!!
