The sky is rumbling..... [Aug. 4th, 2004|01:18 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
It's been raining on and off today! Luckily I got out early to ride my bike the post office and back - I wouldn't want to be stuck in the storm! I saw one smallish adolescent alligator on the way - no monster gator today, hehe.

Then I settled in to "answer a few emails", which somehow made about four hours pass without me even noticing.....

I've still got a lot of them to catch up on, so thank you for your patience if you're waiting for a response =)

I'm in kind of an odd, melancholy mood today. Maybe it's the weather. It's so green outside, I feel like rolling around in the jungles out behind my house and running around in the rain, but I probably shouldn't =P Maybe it will stop raining and I'll go out riding again this afternoon.....

I've got a couple of private commissions lined up - I'll be working on them off and on this week. I'm also going to be working on some new originals, as always, hehe. I might try to do some more BIG paintings - they are really kind of fun, and I'm trying to put more pieces in my eBay store.

Awww!!! There are two little hummingbirds outside my window!!!! Thy are circling each other like they are dancing. Magical beasties!

Matt & I have been discussing how to decorate our house lately. We've finally decided to go all out with elaborate theming, murals, Trompe L'Oeil, etc. Why the hell not? I've been waiting forever to own my own house, and now that I do, I'm going to enjoy it. Once we get started I will begin posting "progress" shots, hehe. First though I'll probably do a million designs and layouts in Photoshop first.

But in the meantime, right now I'll probably get little bit more paperwork done and then I'll be painting - you'll be able to see me work off and on HERE

i would be leary of any outside rolling around due to not wanting to be eaten by an alligator. but that's just me.........;)

You should go running around in the rain! It can be very refreshing and fun.

Either that, or we'll spend a fortune covering it up to make it re-sellable =P

OOH! It sounds cool! I LOVE thunder storms & I miss the torrential downpours that you get back east. We get misty rain & VERY seldom a thunder storm or heavy rains.
EEE! I am totally jealous of your guy's bikes & getting to ride around & see alligators--you are living in my dreamland! Now, if only alligators liked the more moderate temps of the NW, like me, I'd be set! Shoot!

Looking forward to your murals Jasmine =) It is also one of my dreams to do that if I own a house for the 2nd time (first one I just never got aroudn to doing, lived there for 6 years). I think some fairies lurking around little corners or peeking out would be delightful ^_^ Any of your walls green yet? lol
