For privacy purposes I'm not showing off any exterior shots of the house =P
There are a TON of photos, so I made a little gallery of them here: http://www.strangeling.com/newhouse.html
It might take a moment for them to load, so please be patient!
Today was a lot of fun - we woke up early and went with James, Kachina, and Theodore to go play mini golf at Pirate's Cove - a VERY cool pirate themed miniature golf course full of caves and piratey stuff. Along the course it tells you stories about Edward Teach and Anne Bonny, and all of the usual suspects - right up my alley! Then we went to Pizzeria Uno (which I'd never been to, but rather liked!). Afterwards we took them all back to the airport and they went back home to Kansas City =( We miss them already!!!!
The rest of the day we spent getting some furniture and boxes and stuff taken care of, but there is a lot left to do. In addition I've been trying to get a grasp on some of the email and orders that piled up while I was gone, and I'm working on a commissioned painting too. Aaah! Busy busy! I'll probably get to start on some new original paintings tomorrow or the next day, depending on when I finish the commission.
I love my new house so much - it feels so good to actually OWN it, lol. We've never had a yard, so that's extra exciting. Being here in Florida, there are TONS of anoles and geckos and other lizards and frogs etc. ALL OVER my yard - I'd estimate probably 50-100 lizards alone live in my yard, hehe. I looked at the patio from the window and saw a dozen of them sunning themselves. There are a ton of great tropical plants and flowers in the yard, which we'll keep for sure. There are a bunch of boring bushes and stuff that we'll probably take out when we begin landscaping though. Everything inside the house is so big and new - it's kind of intimidating - it feels too fancy for me or something, lol. The photos don't really do the place justice, but they should give you some idea! I'm so glad we were able to snag a place here in Celebration - the prices have been climbing up and up - it was one of the last ones here in our price range.
Okay - I'm completely beat - I'm off to bed! I'll check in tomorrow!
