New Paintings!!!!! [May. 9th, 2004|07:54 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
[mood |accomplishedaccomplished]

I have finished and scanned in two brand new paintings!

The first is a sweet little fairy painted in shades of sepia (to look kind of antiqued or faded):

"Sepia Fairy"

The second features a beautiful new model named Ruby - she was one of the folks who responded to my "Call For Models" a few days ago ;) It's a new painting called:

"Butterfly Watchers"

And then I have finished two new hand-embellished Limited Edition Canvas prints (both are numbered #01 of 25):

"Gothling #5" and

"Waiting for My Valentine"

Whew! Now I'm going to eat some pizza =P

you would be surprised...or maybe i just got luck-but i got one of the lim ed ones for less the 50$ and it looks amazing. it was the secret garden on. i just love it...kind of a modern twist on a sad story. just watch the auction till the end...you might be surprised.

i really thought it was a fluke when i won...was very surprised. i really thought it was such an interesting one and to see that no one really even tried to bid on it...just sad. but i still love it and they are amazing looking. i dont really have lots of money to spare but i just thought..what the heck...you only live once. i am going to eventually get all of my work framed that i own and put it all in my bedroom which is a sun room...good times then.

Yep! Just goes to show - it doesn't hurt to try! Sometimes for whatever reason, a print or painting will end for a lower amount (I had one original painting last year that went for only like $50!) and somebody gets a great deal!

I think I'm about to own my very first piece of art:) I put in a bid on one of the gothings and I'm winning at 51 bucks!! Only a few more hours to go on the auction and I'm so excited. I recently discovered your website and artwork last week and I am completely in love with your works:) I also have been kinda broke lately, but like another post said, What the hell!! Only live once and will never regret it. From your newest huge fan:) Heather from FL

I know you must get tired of hearing it, but Wow! I missed you painting the "Sepia Fairy". She is something special! I keep going back to look at her. Love the antique style. I can't seem to find the right words to describe the "Butterfly Watchers". It is just amazing!!!! Ruby is a beautiful girl!!!

...and who ever gets the Canvas print of "Waiting for My Valentine" will be one Happy person. :) Of course, I love all your Gothlings too!!!!

Doll Lashes

Dolly likes :) very pretty evnethough I am not a huge butterfly fan they are pretty, but it's just not my personality. I also really like the first one that is more me `giggles' dark and gloomy. I sent the butterfly piece to my close friend who LOVES butterflies. I showed her your website and she is loves your work just as much as I do :) <3 <3 <3............ Bye Pretty :)

Wow! You're ability to create these so quickly is amazing! I envy your lifestyle... spending most of your day painting, listening to music, sharing your art with the world...

You really live in such a beautiful world.
I am so depressingly envious.

::blush:: Thank you!

Of course, I work steadily from the time I get up to the time I go to sleep, lol - a lot of it isn't as romantic as it seems. Some days I'll spend 5-10 hours just answering email! O_O

Wow Jasmine, once again you turned out beautiful paintings..I swear I don't think I've seen one of yours yet that I dislike...You are so very talented...I would like to have a tenth of your talent...You seem to have a beautiful heart to go along with your beautiful work..I'm glad your able to keep in close contact with your family...I think everyone needs family around all the time..My favorite Aunt lives in Florida, I visit her every chance I get..she lives in Cape Coral...Maybe one day I will be able to move there too...But i'm so afraid of missing my family if I move.

This is fabulous!!

She's perfect!! I don't even know what to say. I'm sure you're thrilled with how it came out. Her expression is just perfect and the colors are so *brilliant* I'm having trouble coming up with good words today... must be tired.

the sepia one is gorgeous, actually, she looks a bit like the little girl that played frances griffiths in 'a fairy tale - a true story'!
