All of my mysterious errands have come to fruition!
We bought a house today =)
We found out earlier this month that our apartment building was "going condo", but rather than choosing to buy our current apartment we decided to go ahead and buy a "real" house instead! Since they're converting we can opt out of our lease at anytime, and since prices are on the rise we thought we'd grab something quick ;)
It's gorgeous, two stories, privacy-fenced backyard, two-car garage, immaculate condition, only 3 years old, uber-fancy kitchen, big master suite (with a "garden tub") everything I want! It's right here in Celebration, across from a gorgeous city park.
We signed the contracts today, and we move in on June 11th!
Sorry for all of the mystery - I just wanted to make sure it was "for sure" before I posted the good news =) We had bid before on another house, and were outbid at the last second, and I didn't want to get my hopes up, hehe.
Lol, so we only ended up living here in our new apartment for a couple of months and we're moving again..... but I said the only reason I would move from here was if I were buying a new house, so there you go, hehe. Poor Matty's going to have to work out his furniture-moving muscles again soon.... But he's happy to do it - he's excited too! He's going to convert the entire 2-car garage into a woodshop/frameshop. There is a 2-car driveway in addition to the garage (and we only have one car, and we really don't want to keep it in a garage anyway) so he can have all of that to himself.
How exciting!!!! I'm so happy to finally be a home owner =)
I've got all sorts of ideas in my head about decorating and murals and gardening and all sorts of crazy stuff - this will be so much fun!
Ahhh - all of this excitement! But now I need to get to work!!! I've been missing out on painting a little while going house-hunting and trying to arrange financing, etc. (I'd better work extra hard now that I need to cough up a mortgage payment every month, hehe).
I'm going to be finishing up a portrait commission - you can watch me HERE!
