Happy Easter!!!!!! [Apr. 11th, 2004|12:58 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Happy Easter everybody!!!!!!!!

I hid candy filled eggs around the house for Matt to find - and he found them all! Lol, it took him a little while though - it was hilarious to watch!!!!! >^___^<

I'm going to be spending a good part of the day cooking up a big Easter Feast!

On the menu - Vegetarian Pork Chops (I'm making them from scratch using Quorn from a tube - I'll let you know how they turn out!), Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Steamed Asparagus, Baby Vegetables, etc. Should prove interesting!

It's a glorious day outside - about 80 and sunny. Maybe even some thunderstorms later! Good spring weather! Yesterday was HOT - our thermometer said 94 degrees!!! That's one of the hottest days I've seen here, lol, and it's April (weird Florida weather!!!!!!).

Off to cook! Happy Easter everybody!!!!

Lol, actually the highest recorded temperature here in Orlando was only 101 (I'm from Kansas City where that's the norm - I remember we went like a week there without it going under 110 for a high!)

yipes. remind me NEVER to go to Kansas City.

Have you ever gone to Rock Springs? (Kelly Park in Apopka) If you ever get the hankering to go swimming in some nice, clear, cool water....it is the place to go. And would give you some excellent backdrops for Faery paintings.

Hehe - it was much worse in the winter there - freezing snow, ice storms, blah!!!!!! The worst of both worlds......

That sounds beautiful! I will check that out - I've not been out there yet!

YIKES! I know how you feel. Especially here in California. We get days like that, and since I live between six horses and a couple of cows, the flies are horrible!!! I am just glad I have a nice new car with a nice cold air conditioner! On the other hand, I will be in Florida at Disney World sometime this summer with my Church. I am excited!

Happy Easter Jasmine!! LOL - Caysi's kids had an easter egg hunt this morning, and it was a lot of fun.
( http://elsenorchichi.tripod.com/index.html ). There are pictures of the stuff. Oh cool, I didn't know you could make vegitarian pork chops, sounds exciting. Myself (being a reverse vegitarian, I eat nothing from the ground), I don't know how you could have done it for eleven years. You must be a strong person and I admire you for that. LOL! Weather is weird here in California, too. It is only 12:19 and 75F outside. Anyway - I hope your dinner is good, and if you are interested I have pics of Caysi and I, lol. Plus, I can tell you all about my Vegitarian Band Teacher who called me a member of the Junior KKK (which I'm not).

Oh yes - vegetarian pork chops, vegetarian chicken, vegetarian hamburger, vegetarian bratwursts, vegetarian scallops, vegetarian bacon, vegetarian buffalo wings, vegetarian tunafish, - you name it! There is an all-vegetarian Chinese Restaurant nearby that even has crazy things like vegetarian eel, vegetarian octopus, vegetarian oysters, etc. Lol, I'm kind of afraid to try some of that though, even though I know it's "fake" meat! There is pretty much a vegetarian equivalent for every "meaty" thing out there nowadays. Some of it is a LOT better than others (some veggie meats are just mushy and weird, but some are so close to the real thing you can actually trick meat eaters, lol!!!!).

Awwww!!!!!!! What adorable kids she has!!! It looks like they had a lot of fun - it reminded me of when I was a little girl celebrating holidays - always so exciting. Oh yes - I'd love to see more photos!!! I like being able to match online personas with real faces, hehe!!!

LOL - yea, well here is me, hehe http://elsenorchichi.tripod.com/MeBassoon.JPG so you can match me with a personality. I'm a wonderful model, too, lol. J/k. I hope you don't think I am pompus about not eating veggies, I just like being different. Do you eat eggs?

Yuck! I can't stand eggs =P But I'm not a vegan, just a vegetarian (I will eat eggs and dairy products, but no meat, poultry, seafood - no dead animals!), so I will still eat cookies if they have eggs in them etc. There's no way I'd eat just an egg though - I think they are gross!!!

Happy easter! That's funny that you hid eggs for Matt...hee hee! Good one! I might have to do that next year to Paul, it would CRACK ME UP watching him try to find them! (of course, I'd probably forget how many I hid & where I put them so months later we'd find long forgotten ones! hee hee)

Do what we do, hehehe, take pics of make a list of where you hide them. After losing a hardboiled egg one year we will never make the mistake of forgetting them, again.
