AHHH! That looks GREAT!! You paint SO FAST!!! What I wouldn't give to be able to sit down uninterrupted and paint for hours on end...Instead of having to break up world war 3 and chase the dog around to make sure she isnt peeing on something...LoL REally..are you Suuuure you dont want children right now? Because If you change your mind..I could send you one of mine.. *wink*
Oh, I'm so glad you're doing "The Hen and the Golden Eggs"!
I had already started my lion when I saw the deluge of them entered in the show and the image was so stuck in my mind I HAD to paint it. If I could have, I probably would have entered one of each!
I can't wait to see the finished product!!!

At least it wasn't a rose you had to do...
"There is nothing more difficult for a truly creative painter than to paint a rose, because before he can do so he has first to forget all the roses that were ever painted."
LOL :-) Sorry, your post just made me think of that quote.
That looks great! Will you be making prints of this one? My mom loves chickens and she would love to get a print.
Oh yes! I'll definitely have prints =)
Her eyes are awesome. I think you already know that eyes and hair are your specialty. And skin. And lighting. And composition. And texture. Okay well still, eyes are the first thing I see in this painting. They draw me in.
Thank you!!! Hehe, I just scanned her in - you'll see her in just a few minutes!
ooh-ooh you might get tou illustrate a fable-how cool. i was reading all that info that is posted on their site about it. Mad props to you and i really hope you get it. I would love to see a few pictures meant towards a story-that is so cool the one you are working on now-..
GeeZus!!! YOu finished ALREADY??? LoL You stallion..
Hey what paints do you use? Do you use the tubes or the little bottles? I'm such a nerd..I wont spring for the tube acrylics however I have Windsor and Newton tube watercolor. that's it I am doing a poll...BRB..hehehe NICE JOB by the way really like it..Hope you win (like you wont!) ;o)
Yes ma'am! I just scanned her in =)
I typically use fluid acrylics (the kind in the little bottles). They take a while to dry, which is why I use the hairdryer!!!
Funny you say that.... I use the same kind of paints and I have to use fluid retarder!LOL I guess the difference in climate could make a difference. ;o)
Hehe, I think it's more of a difference in personal temperament - I'm just impatient, lol!
Or maybe you just have the ability to paint faster than I can, LOL! There is NO WAY I can squeeze out a painting in a DAY and have it look as good as you do! You amaze me! ;)
