Good morning!!!!!!!! [Mar. 30th, 2004|11:19 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Another beautiful day, as always =)

Since the deadline is tomorrow (eep!) today I will be working on my entry for the EBSQ Show "Aesop's Fables" - you can see the prospectus here: http://www.ebsqart.com/ArtShows/sh_30.htm

After much deliberation, I picked "The Hen and the Golden Eggs" for the piece I'd like to illustrate. I'm going to show the hen and a golden egg, with the scheming Farmer's Wife looking at it thoughtfully.........

I'm going to look around for a bunch of pictures of farms and chickens and stuff to get some ideas, hehe.

I've got a couple of other things to catch up on right quick, and I'll post here when I get started painting!!!

Not only I completely forgot about the show but I also so damn overwhelmed with everything now I can't even force myself to do it... so I guess I just will wait till more "peaceful" times here...

My son is crazy about chickens...LOL... after we came back from Belgium...

Good luck Jasmine, I was going to enter the show too, but have run outta time. I'm too busy with everything else. There isn't a lot of entries really. Alot less than I thought there would be. It would be cool to be published in a book though. I have no doubt that you will be in it.;)If I get time though today, I may try painting for the show myself. I had this Idea for a Norman Rockwell type look of this skinny old farmer sneaking up on the hen with a butchers knife behind his back.lol. I may still get it finished before Thursday.
