Hi there! I am a big admirer of your work, so I added you, I hope you don't mind. I also live in Florida, and if you liked that place, I wanted to recommend some South Florida locations, in case you are ever in this part of Florida:
Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida, on Flamingo Road-
Absolutely beautiful, full of so many different plants, and I saw Hummingbirds there last year in November! Those are very rare in Florida. Also they have some animals. I would go every month if I had the time.
Metro Zoo in Miami, Florida-
Mostly it sucks compared to other zoos, but they have an awesome aviary full of plants that these beautiful birds and ducks all over the place.
Welcome to my LiveJournal!!! >^_^<
Oooh! I love hummingbirds! I saw one not too long ago - I thought it was a bee or something, but I looked up close and it was just a tiny birdie!!
Oh I would love to dive with them....Already did with dolphins and bunches of other "sea animals"... now I need to try with sharks and manatees....they seems like a such a peaceful creatures!
I also LOOOOOOOOOOOVE mantas! Etienne was so lucky to dive in group of 10 each one sized 6 meters.......we still have video of it!
I swam with them too when I was on a cruise a long time ago with my family...(Too poor to leave the country now) lol
I remember petting one on his underside and he sucked my fingers into his mouht and gummed them a little with those bony ridges they have in their mouth,,,scared me a little at first but then it was really gentle..If I ever win the lottery I want some for pets
Hehe - I'm a gemini too!!!!!! ;)
what a beautiful place that must be ! and a great place for reference photos ... with different horticultural environments .... cool ...
Sounds like you had a great time yesterday!! =) I can't wait to see your zodiac series. I like astrology!!
tee hee-me and bradley are cancer-silly cancer crabs.
Ohhh, sounds wonderful! And SeaWorld too...busy day! We didn't renew our SeaWorld passes this year, but maybe we should go invest again as Mel has recently discovered that she is happy to sit in front of the glass and stare for hours (she was trying to pet the manatees at Living Seas)
Im jealous!!! LOLLL I bet there are all KINDS of fun and exciting things to do down there, and having a seasonal pass to everything comes in pretty handy I bet. hehehe
A zodiac series sounds AWESOME! I cant wait to see them!! Oh and ARIES is first sign in the Zodiac.
Have fun paitning!!!!!!

Re: Yay! Sea World!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yes! You are right - I had forgotten about Aries actually coming first, hehe - I was thinking chronologically based on our calendar (January = Capricorn, lol). Aries it is then!!!
OOOOOOOOOOh a season pass I am jealous!!! I love Sea world *sigh* I got chosen as a child to go down during the Killer whale show and pet/feed give commands..I have been in love ever since...*wistful* I have a Membership to the Phoenix Zoo!! I am a board member--It's a very nice Zoo with HUGE enclosures for the animals that are just like their wild homes... Also..there is 50 tall Bamboo..Oh I love it there..everything is so wild and "untrimmed" Both of the fairies I drew yesterday ,I drew on that board that you send with your prints LoL !!so THANKS!!! It wont go to waste!!! I'll have to buy more prints to get more (Where do you buy it BTW?)It takes watercolor wonderfully without warping...
When I was in college my Marine Ecology senior paper was about Manatees. Not just the ones in Florida, but also in different parts of the world. My keen interest was on the South American fresh water species. They are beautiful mammals, I would love to study them further, also parasites (hehe).
