Matt and I got up very early today and drove to Winter Park, which is a gorgeous town just north of downtown Orlando. For you Kansas City folks out there - it's the Orlando equivalent of the "Ward Parkway/Plaza" area. It's a very quaint, beautiful, very posh old (for Florida, which means it's like 75-100 years old, rather than 20, lol) town - big huge Live Oak trees, very pretty "Old Florida" style architecture, enormous homes, tons of upscale dining, fancy shopping, sidewalk bistros, etc. We did lots of walking, went to Cheesecake Factory (I had Avacado Eggrolls), bought a can opener at Williams-Sonoma, bought some books at Border's, got decorating ideas at Restoration Hardware, had some ice cream at Haagen Dazs, went walking in the nice park there, browsed through some boutiques, and stopped at Chamberlin's (big health food store, like Whole Foods or Wild Oats, but local to Orlando). I bought a TON of "Veat" there (I like to stock up!). If you don't know what Veat is, you can read about it here: http://www.veat.com
Winter Park also has a big farmer's market there (on Saturdays) and one of the country's largest outdoor art festivals (The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival) coming up later this month (I'll definitely go to that!!!). I had so much fun!!!
Now though, I'm going to paint!!! You can watch me HERE!
